Is there any type of Rapid fire function for the buttons
@OlTimeyCharaАй бұрын
I wish you could switch the joystick position to make it look more like a ps4 controller
@SynnTMАй бұрын
have you tested it with A-rpg like POE2 ? the right side will be perfect for such games.
@RushGАй бұрын
I did not, I only play fighting games so only review the controllers from that perspective. I do really like the idea of manufacturers adding extra buttons on the face of the controller, 6 buttons on the right I feel should be standard. The extra ones on the Turtle Beach next to the dpad is such an awesome touch
@SynnTMАй бұрын
@@RushG I think the right side will be perfect for ARPG cus it has 6 buttons, but so far o cant find a review that has tested that.
@BigGameOrenthalJamesАй бұрын
They always have to mess something up. Not being able to remap all buttons, and obviously the dpad being weird for motions inputs, are unfortunate. I think I’m still going to try it out for myself, though….hopefully you’re right and octa pro will get it right!!

I'm probably a bit older so maybe that's why (35) but I have my thumb about half an inch in more than yours, I use the top of the fat pad of my thumb to hit the directions not the joint of my thumb like you do so I think it might control entirely different using it that way, Really the whole way I hold the controller is different, I wrap my hands deeper around the back than the front

Hey, do you know if the dpad is membrane? If it's membrane, it can break in. once it gets softer it should be a lot more comfortable.
@RushGАй бұрын
I did not check the internals to find out if it's membrane. It felt clicky, similar to the Xbox Series S and X dpad if this helps. The way it felt it didn't feel like it would loosen up over time. A few friends of mine have purchased it and they really like it so it is ultimately down to personal preferences. I can only share my experiences with what I like from controller / d pad
@coxxycabee13 күн бұрын
@@RushG I just bought one of these today. I'm yet to test it out because I'm still researching how to connect the thing. I can attest to the resemblance to a Series S controller however. I believe it's using dome switches just like the Series controllers. It's a little less clicky however, but still enjoyable in feel, (keep in mind that's purely 'feel' without gaming at the moment).

man im so glad i switched to leverless. i no longer have a pad problem

It's something I've always considered, found it really hard when I tried it the first time. Discontinuing the old Hori was where things got challenging regard a go to pad for me

I have the pivot since launch , i like it a lot it has very unique feeling when using it and it feels premium and can last , it's both modern and classic . what i wish they could've changed first are the triggers , although feel good to press but when testing it in aimlaps i always in every test miss shots and miss double click. second thing the sticks have very low resistance , and in my testing i can easily score (in Gridshot\ultimate) around 28k , while with Vader 4 pro, Blitz2 and cyclone 2 i can easily score 34k , and i am not talking about the high score here . my rating for the EasySMX x20 is around 31k . with the pivot you won't aim well at first when you start using it in a session , even after you get used ito it during the session i tend to overshoot my movement and what i mentioned about the triggers , and thus limiting it's ponetial . i wouldn't remmond it for accurate shooting applications , in many single player games or 3D fighting games like elden ring or assassin creed you can do well enough and even do head shots when needed , since those games do require aiming for some weapons or abilities .

Okay this rotation system is so much better then the controllers where you have to get them out, sometimes with a screwdriver.
@radiantansel20229 күн бұрын
Actually, no If being lazy means a worst system, I rather use a screwdriver.
@HardLauncherX13 күн бұрын
@@radiantansel202The issue is the ones with screwdrivers tech parts are really cheap and after a few switching or some lil dust into it it can completely fuck up the controller

Cool review, thx Rush. I'll pass on this one, a good D-pad is really what I want most in a fightpad, I started thinking about maybe modding it but the rotating modules seem like a nightmare to work on. Also at that price it better be almost perfect.
@goodie2shoes874Ай бұрын
This sounds like a reliability nightmare. Probably cheaper to just buy a dedicated fight pad and normie pad.
@RushGАй бұрын
I'd say that the pad is very high quality, it doesn't feel like something that would break if it's looked after. The holding toggles on the back felt like they could be something you could break if you were very heavy handed. I have to give credit where it's due, a very well put together controller

I prefer the thumb-braile style buttons they have going on here. I hate the flat-button style.

at a glance , thar button placement looks annoying and difficult to use for fighting games. that angle would throw me off

Does ps5 have something like this?
@RushGАй бұрын
I'd say best thing like this for the PS is the Victriz BFG. I didn't cover this on a video when I had it but it was overall not bad, offers interchange dpads, you can change the button config from "standard" to fightpad style. It is the white controller you saw pop up in the video when talking about dpad / button alignment
