Bravo kind sir, I had gotten a astronaut model off of turbosquid and it is just so amazingly frustrating to link up textures, etc, not many tutorials out there on how to do it. I also noticed the RAM usage drop from 1.3 Gb to 640 MB just by deleting uncessary attributes.

Dear midphase! Can we expect that you will write down a few more lessons to continue the topic of preparing assets for the project? Such as texturing, importing back into DCC, setting up materials, rigging and animation (or just pose), setting up materials, lighting, environment and rendering? The thing is that, individually, there are a lot of such lessons, but it would be very useful to see the existing workflow that you use in your work. Thank you so much!

Well, I would like to ask you one more question, have you considered using such a program as Clarisse iFX? I found its application very simple and useful for myself.

I know Clarisse but for my particular workflow I think it's overkill. Both Houdini and Blender can handle enough instances for even some of my most crowded scenes.
