I love your tutorials, you take time to explain every step and the mentality of why you selected the path you are explaining. You are doing something few others do, you are teaching not churning out videos for monetary gain and it shows. I applaud your efforts and look forward to reach new learning session.

Nice one, never used those rbdsolvers. Btw, you can fix that Boolean "side faces" issue just by changing the settings in the Boolean node, and specify if the objects are solid or surfaces

Aperture can sometimes be measured as a Diameter which allows light to go into the camera to hit the Sensor or Film Back.

Hi Case, the 'meaning' behind the 41.4214 remains a big mystery. I had a long rant on Facebook about this, as it would make far more sense to have this 'Aperture' parameter default to '36'(mm) as then the 50mm focal length above would actually match 50mm on a full frame camera. Even SideFX themselves mention on their website that 36mm (or 24.89mm for Super35) would be the value to use :-D Thanks a lot for another great in-depth tutorial and I hope you're not as frazzled anymore now, after this nail-biter of an election is over ;-)

Yeah....another reason why Blender seems more thought out in some ways. I should ask some of my SideFX contacts why they decided on such an odd value. P.S. I want to say I'm less frazzled this week than last, but apparently the election drama is still going!

applying gravity causes my shape to fall again immediately. is there a way to pin it so gravity doesn't occur until brick hits?
@midphase Жыл бұрын
You can always keyframe gravity. Have it be 0 until you need the pieces to fall.
