Ladies and gentlemen, the best Blender tutor on KZbin. It was thanks to this man's extremely clear, extremely foolproof step-by-step instructions that I learned the fundamentals of Blender, and now I have over 5 years of 3D modelling under my belt. So I probably won't be using this tutorial, but I'm very glad to see that he's updating his 'Beginner' tutorials for new users and new versions of Blender

Just to let you know. If not for you and andrew, I would have never found blender back in 2013 when I was in my darkest time of a divorce and a eye disorder that was found while I was serving in the navy. It's 2024. I am very good now. Still doing blender. The bear was my first project.

Thanks for the video, I change somethings on the handle, the indentations I did it more round on the corners. For the Back of the handle I use proportional editing, with sphere fallout I got a more round shape. As always your tutorials are fun to fallow.

Wonderful Tutorials. Small Hint: If you don't want to go to the menu 8 times to expand the selection you can also use shift + R to repeat the last command.

Just a tip, make sure you use onscreen keys, so people can see what keys you are using! (also makes the video useful to deaf people!)

Sharpening edges via extrusion and rightclick (or control R and dragging to the right/left) can cause problems later when merging by distance for cleanup reasons. In that case all duplicated edges will disappear. By my opinion better solution is making control edges via e.g. "inset faces", and with this control loops we can later any time easily control the sharpness. These control edges must not and should not be pushed to the limit, it is good to keep some distance.
