You can fix the shadows problem with ease. Just click in the render panel on Shadows ->High bitdepth and soft shadows and if that is not enough then up the cube size and maybe the cascade size (not sure what that does). Light threshold is a bit like AO and fineness of edge shadows, I believe.
@damaomiX6 жыл бұрын
But since this is baked emission light it won’t influenced by those settings, I think.
@DouglasEKnappMSAOM6 жыл бұрын

Can confirm: upping the Shadows > Cube Size to 1024px fixed it for me too.

3:37 can still move assets around after baking it seems to some extent 5:30 seems like lighting needs to be baked, so assets within the box of where lghting will be baked will interact While the lighting itself needs to be rebaked each time it moves

Thanks, good stuff. Do you know if it's possible in EEVEE for light from an emission shader to effect an object that has a high transmission value (ie, can light from an emission get 'caught' in a glass like object?
@vladimmi6 жыл бұрын
About lower image quality with EEVEE - well, it seems that fast render engine as final render is mostly suited for motion, where viewers have no time to analyze shadow details or smoothness of lighting :)
@vladimmi6 жыл бұрын
Also worth to note that adding more points into irradiance volume (for example, 100-100-10 instead of 10-10-10 like in video) would make bake times longer, for sure, but lighting "grid" being more detailed and smooth - much closer to Cycles results.

Not really Everything has a learning curve If u achieve speed for remdering u have to spend time on realism
@DouglasEKnappMSAOM6 жыл бұрын
IT might be faster for one frame but for example Blender Guru was rendering a clip at 12 min per frame. Once you bake it all the other frames are almost real time.
@saumilsunilshah56636 жыл бұрын
@@DouglasEKnappMSAOM yeah but baking in cycles isnt fast Atleast for me or my pc
@DouglasEKnappMSAOM6 жыл бұрын
@@saumilsunilshah5663 I did not mean in cycles, I meant as in this video. Also if you do bake in cycles and are doing video then you bake one time for all the frames and that saves a LOT of time overall. If you are doing a still then it does not make much sense in cycles.
