I REALLY appreciate you creating this set of videos for the sampling functionality within Blofeld. It is by far the most informative available. Thank you,

You did not mention that Spectre adds 225 samples to the beginning of all looped samples. This is important when adding short drum samples that are very closely edited. To avoid clicks, use Wavosaur to add 0.006 seconds (6ms) of silence (264 samples at 44.1KHz sampling rate) to the beginning of closely cropped samples to avoid this problem. Do you know if using the crossfade feature in Wavosaur accomplishes the same thing? Or if there is an easier way to make sure that a looped sample has at least 225 samples of silence at the beginning?

Oh, thanks for this information, I never noticed that. I was using the sampling option rather for experiments and only very few times for drums. But that's why I can't help you with this issue, sorry :( When I had clicks in samples, I used the amp envelope with very short attacks (not 0) to get rid of them. But of course, this could cause trouble with drums, taking all the punch away...

Hello! Glad to see you start again Blo series!) they are most useful tuts I found. And I'm quite interested in sample part of Blofeld, cause I have a problem which cant solve at the moment. I get soundset from Waldorf site which contains presets with samples. And the samples are assigned to first 128 containers: A1-A128. So, if I'd transfer them with Spectre as is - I'd erase the samples which are already loaded in Blofeld. The Waldorf support answered that theoretically I can load them at other containers, and then add to soundsets preset manually. But they didn't say how should I do this. How do you think - do I get right? I should make a program in Spectre where I'd leave blank memory locations to keep samples which are already loaded in Blofeld, and then put HGF Sample Set on the next ones locations (lets say B1-B128). Next, I transfer them and should assign to Blofeld Xperience presets, if I get you right. But how could I found what sample should contain certain preset and on which osc? Would be there the location number or name of missing sample or something? I understand this is quite wide question, but maybe is an idea for one more video-tutorial? :)

Hi! I never loaded more than 128 samples into the Blofeld. But I also noticed that a new sample upload overwrites the existing ones. My workaround is to include the already uploaded samples into my new sample upload. So when set 1 and 2 are already in the Blofeld and I want set 3 and 4 additionally, I do the upload with 1, 2, 3 and 4. This can mean a lot of configuration in Specture. That's why I store every set of samples sets which I uploaded.

I tried loading samples .wav16bit mono as extra bank with the standard samples Waldorf offers as midi and wpc file. The manual says the root key and loop start and end point havee to be mentioned in the .wav but I have no idea how to add this info. My samples just give a click and no other sound. Any tips?
