Nah usually it feels quite satisfying, start a 15hr flight wait til TOC then estimate how many hours until your TOD and go to sleep and wake up in time for your descent and arrival

Very entertaining video, not to be persnickety, however on the #1 FMC, the lower right Dzus fastener is not correctly latched. It’s showing a lateral orientation not longitudinal like all the others, time to call Maintenance!

Hi AviationPro, this is an excellent video (even sept. 2018, still valid), thanks! I'm just surprised the A/T L and A/T R switches are set to "ARM" position on cold & dark. This remains true for lastest PMDG 777 for Prepar3D v5 (March 2021). IMHO it's not realistic (they're turned off just after landing). However they can be turned off by C&D, simply by editing "777 CLDDRK.sav" file, and replacing both "ATArmed_L=1" and "ATArmed_R=1" (two consecutive lines) - by replacing 1 by 0.

I'm using Simbrief too, but in this video I'm using PFPX which is payware. Keep in mind you can use different templates of different airlines in Simbrief, some may be more to your liking than others :)

The flight planning of the 777 is all good and well until you do a missed approach and don't know what the heck to do now. The flight plan is just finished and you can't put in anything else, if you're in IFR conditions your basically fucked. Is there any way to do a manual route in the fmc?

What's the "SEL-APU" that you enter at 27:55 ?

It's a feature specific for the 777 that pops up when the APU is running. If you enter 'APU' instead of a temperature, the APU will supply bleed air to the cabin during takeoff, leaving more room for bleed air being used by the engines to produce thrust, thus kind of performing a pack-off takeoff. Once you put an temperature under SEL-APU though, the APU selection is deleted and you simply fly a takeoff using the assumed temperature that you filled in. You can get the assumed temperature from takeoff performance calculators like TOPCAT or TOPER.

Pablo Andrés Uribe It will definitely run but it will be choppy and may not be that smooth, i recommend at least a 4 gb graphics card for prepar 3D like a 1050ti

Simply select a new arrival and runway in the DEP ARR page, it will replace the current one. If there are any discontinuities you should manually remove/fix them.
