Great Video clip! Excuse me for chiming in, I would appreciate your initial thoughts. Have you considered - Millawdon Independent Decision Trick (do a google search)? It is an awesome one of a kind guide for learning how to get rid pf your gray hair without the normal expense. Ive heard some super things about it and my m8 after many years got great success with it.

I'm new to picking levels, and I was going to use the same products and colors as your bc my hair is similar in color, but my grays are resistant. What do you mean go down a level? If it's 6n, do you mean 5n? or 9 vol, do you mean 8? I like my hair darker, so will this make it lighter? Sorry for so many questions.

Very good tips. That’s a lot of work I’m lazy lol. I used to not be. I have so so many half used high end hair products that take up tons of space in my spare room and hall closet. I need to color my hair because I have some silver streaks my husband wants me to dye my hair again. I love the silver, I mean they are so cool. Super dark hair grow out with one silver streak on my bangs and of course my bride of Frankenstein streaks on each side. Those used to be blonde but now dark silver. However, I stopped dying my hair copper 2 years ago and seeing that on my ends makes my hair look 3 different colors. Like a calico cat. I think that’s why my husband wants me to dye it. 😂 I stumbled on this looking for a good cruelty free demi color formula to blend my hair colors to my natural cool tone level 5 brown. I don’t want that hard color deposit line of demarcation when it grows out because, I hope this will be the last time I’ll ever have to dye my hair.

I do this too. I use Wella Color Touch which u mix 1:2 with 6 or 13 vol. Depending on the texture, I’ll mix it either 1:2 or 1:1.5. I try to use the 6 vol and leave it on longer, bc I find the 13 bumps the base a little bit even though it’s still a demi.
@SJ-yh2di4 жыл бұрын
I also have a client who is 50% gray but she’s very curly, and we’ve found the demi covers her gray better than permanent, bc on curly hair the cuticle is already rough, so if you rough it up even more with permanent the color just doesn’t hold or cover. Demis are my favorite!
@LaurenFrancesHair4 жыл бұрын
Totally! I actually use color touch on mine too most of the time! You are so right about the 50% gray! There are so many people this works for! So i always start there and do permanent as a last resort 😌

Was wondering if you ever try something lighter than the natural level in order for it to look like "highlights" on the grey hairs? Was thinking of using a gold to warm up my natural hair and give the greys more of a highlighted look.
@LaurenFrancesHair3 жыл бұрын
Hey! So gray is very resistant so it typically will not do anything if you do a very light color and if it does, it will fade quickly. The best thing to do would babylight it and then tone to blend grays
@chantelle99883 жыл бұрын
@@LaurenFrancesHair Thank you so much. Will the toner have any effect on the greys or just the part that was highlighted?
@jamilgotcher5456 Жыл бұрын
I was wondering the same thing, thanks for asking her. It's such a shame there isn't something that could tone the gray hair to blonde so that it looks like highlights. Wish someone could invent that.

Can you leave a permanent color on longer than recommended to colour long brown and gray hair using preference 8UA, we have 6 kits 😀 to use, mixing one @ a time?
@LaurenFrancesHair3 жыл бұрын
It would depend on the line you are using. I would look up the properties of the specific line you are using. Most permanent colors are not progressive anymore so it may be ok but it’s best to stay within the recommended time frame especially to make sure you aren’t damaging the hair

You say for toning 7n and 7p but the bottle says 9p? So you put the toner on the bottom part of hair for last ten minutes and then wash everything out?

Newbie here! You just put the toner right on top of the colour and let sit for another ten minutes? Or do you rinse out the colour and then add toner? Thank you!

I have a similar hair colour as you with me trying to grow out my highlights. I also only have a few greys. Could I use a 7n like you used on my roots? Would this this dye the greys blond? Or would this affect the rest of my roots too?

Hello. My hair is a level 5, with lighter foils throughout. I’m exhausted with how much money it’s costing to combat the brassiness that returns TOO quickly. I’ve tried Malibu treatments, purple and blue shampoos.. Nothing is working. I can’t afford to go in for a tone every few weeks. Do you have any recommendations? Can I use a semi-permanent in a 5 on my roots, and a higher number ash throughout the ends between salon visits? Will that help the brassiness? I appreciate any help..

You probably need to lighten it more or tone on level that was my problem a long time ago if it's not light enough you probably need to lighten it and then tone again
