I really enjoyed that tutorial. It never occurred to me to cut the wide part of the box spine- and I love that!!!! Thanks so much!

Just read all the comments it’s unanimous we all love your tutorials and loved your little fold over tip, simple ,but never thought to crease it with the tool to make crisp etc. 👏🏻

Normally, I don't prefer abstract art but I absolutely LOVE all the papers you used on this and how they came together! I look forward to watching for this little book in your future videos! Thanks for sharing your time and talents with us. Hugs from Texas.

My brain amuses me sometimes. When you said "in every box", my brain instantly went, "in every box there is an element of fun. You find the fun and *SNAP* you have journal cover". :)

Thanks Nichole for not being afraid to add every little tip that will help us newbies become good journal makers. I have been making journals now for over a year but not able to contribute lots of time so I still feel so new!! Have a great weekend and blessings to you from Betty in Ohio.

Beautiful cover and very well explained with lots of tips! Love that you score the edges before folding over to get it crisp. I like your neat, precise way of crafting.

I agree with Cheryl. It's refreshing for you to not rush thru the basics. I haven't made one yet because I can not figure out the size I want. 9" x 6" is to big for me. Scoring your fold-over is a great trick. This was fun watching. T.Y. 👏👏👏

Mac & cheese boxes make cute lil covers, even soap boxes, I've got a tiny one from a hotel. 😍 Great tip about making the spine smaller! 😍👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Thanks😊 I gleaned some tips. ie folding and creasing before gluing those wrap pieces. Much cleaner crisper etc. I love when people spend the time for teaching us details so we can decide what to use from it, etc.

Great tutorial. TFS ♥️ I know from experience, that the top of the signature and the top of your cover, punched holes really must line up. 🤦♀️
@rgporter19572 жыл бұрын
We are on the same page, Sister! I was wondering why you don't put your inlays down first and then glue down the binding piece over their inside edges? Just don't like that look or do you feel there is a structural difference doing it your way? I've done it both ways and haven't noticed anything other than visual. Just wondering. No big. This cover looks really nice!

I love this, but I really like my stitching to not show! Any ideas for this?
@relaxcutglue2 жыл бұрын
Yes I do! The middle piece of paper that I added over the spine on the inside, use cardstock instead and sew your signatures into that, and then glue it onto the book. Then add your inside panel pieces over that. I hope that makes sense! If it doesn’t please let me know❤️

I forgot…..can you tell me what a “smash book” is? 🙂
@donnafayeharris71702 жыл бұрын
It’s sorta like a glue book but you just put anything in it like receipts or anything you collect through out the day or stuff you might already have. Maybe stuff you would generally throw away. There so many things you could use. I won’t name them all. But when you start towards the trash can stop and think does this item have a memory tied to it? Hope this helps!
