Yeah, I think that is what makes it so hard to follow. It talks so slow, and when it talks fast you'r not sure if it said x or z or ever b. I realy had a hard time following this tutorial but it's the only one I can find.

You do great work. Can you make video, how to make in blender model of Recirculating roller screws. KZbin have SKF sample, but it does not have any math, forces(when it's work) and faq how to do model.

Hi, I’m stuck at 10:04, I believe I’ve done everything right up to that point, but my side gear’s first step rotates such that the teeth of the side gear and the teeth of the spider gear are overlapping and so it just stays there and wiggles. Do you or does anyone know why and how to fix that?

I had this issue I had added a back to the gears and it didn't like it. Also check your normals, rotation and scale.

When I add the Side Hinge 2 and and Side 2 the animation now only works for a limited number of frames, around 50...then it locks up. Is there a way to debug this? Is it just a matter of randomly trying things, e.g., more subdivisions? How do I know what it is causing the lockup?

The animation speeds up, then slows down and stops after 250 frames. How can I make it run longer and at a constant speed?

You need to open a new "tab" (The little triangle lines in the corners) and make that tab a "Dope tab" by clicking the properties on that tab. You should see the animation speed and time represented by dotes and a line. Bring the dotes up or down to make a strait line. I hope this helped.

I have completed this tutorial and everything is working, however everything is spinning very slowly. How can I speed up the gear rotations?

You can increase the speed of the motor constraint.

O.T. Vinta My apologies, but I’m still fairly knew to Blender and only been using it for 8 months now. Where in the constraint settings do I adjust the speed? I’m using v.2.9b. Also I tried as the tutorial mentioned to slow down the rotation of the gear inside the ring gear by increasing the mass, however the rotation only slowed down for about 15 frames, then it started rotating in sync with the ring gear again. The only way I was able to “fix” it was to lock the rotation in the properties panel preventing it from rotating at all.

At 25:52, the Target Velocity is 1 by default. Set it to a larger number such as 10.

You can use graph editor to adjust speed as one way to adjust speed.

Anyone have a download link for this, there is so much math involved where It seams unnecessary and I have never used python before. I want to get better at molding before I attempt something like this

I did everything correctly but it still will not work, the gears come out strange and they will not line up for the spider gears HELP!!!! I am getting frustrated to the point of exhaustion I have been working on this since yesterday and can't figure out what is going wrong

the values @2,57 don't work in the www.otvinta.com/bevel.html. 5 = Facewidth value should not exceed 1/3 of the Cone distance . ok . 4,9=Error in Facewidth ok but 4,8=Error in Facewidth / 4,7=Error in Facewidth / 4,6=Error in Facewidth / 4,5=Error in Facewidth / 4,4=Error in Facewidth ... I have to decrease to 4 to have no problem

You need to use a decimal point, not comma: 4.9, 4.8, etc.
