Tutorial: how to thread a cover stitch with the BERNINA overlocker / serger L 220

Beautiful video, enjoyed every second. I recently got my bernina l220. Cannot figure out if it needs oiling and what are the oiling spots. If anyone would be kind enough to share this info. Thanks.

Dear Vlatka, the L220 must not be oiled at all. It is sufficient to regularly clean out the lint and fluff from underneath the stitch plate and under the looper cover with the brush provided. If ever required oiling will be performed by the BERNINA technician during the regular check-up. Kind regards from Switzerland

I love my machine and love the fact it is sturdy, solid and doesn't move around during operation. One more question..where can I get a written version manual? Thanks in advance for your kind reply.

If you have bought the machine secondhand and the manual is missing, then maybe you can buy replacement from your local BERNINA dealer. Hi Sara, thanks for asking. This video not a sewing project tutorial where we would show all steps from A to Z, but about threading a coverstitch. Where they are not important for understanding the threading, the individual steps, such as sewing, are therefore sometimes shown incompletely.

Hi Wendy, we are not sure which model you mean. There is no fun lock 300 model that we know of. Maybe your question refers to the bernette 303 of 1988 or to the bernette 003 of 1989? Unfortunately, there are no videos of these models on our channel.
