Do you do this and make a new one every time you engrave? Or do you keep and reuse it?

Any particular card stock you use? Also, was the ContacPaper only because you use the Crikut mat?

I typically use textured cardstock since it is usually a little heavier, however, any cardstock will work. I use the contact paper because it helps hold the cardstock. The stickiness in the mat, even new mats, just isn't sticky enough to hold the cardstock with a tough enough grip to handle the shaking and moving that engraving gives. I hope that helps! Would Silhouette Chipboard work for this?

Yes, chipboard would work, however, in my testing for this tutorial, chipboard didn't hold up as well but it was totally doable.

What thickness is your blanks, that work with your Cameo 3?

Hello & Good Morning Peggy ! Thanks for stopping by ! With all of my Cameos, 1, 2 & 3, I've used up to 14 gauge in thickness metal blanks. I do have a few blanks that are a tad thicker, but I haven't had a chance to test them out to see if they will work yest. My favorite metal blanks are the ones from Hobby Lobby which are Blank Slate by Traditions. i hope this helps !
