@RiseRoyalsLLC3 жыл бұрын
You can definitely flat iron the hair before twisting! I guess it all depends on how straight you really want it. ☺️ I don’t flat iron because I wanted to keep some texture, but if you dont mind it being a silky straight twist go for it! 🙌🏽😁

Hello. Great video. I have been rocking this style since December and I like it. Is shrinkage the same as swelling up? After about 5-7 days of the style, my hair swells. I don't really like that look as much as when it is freshly done and skinny. I don't think my stylist puts in the Jamaican Mango. Will adding that at the beginning keep my twists skinny longer and avoid thee swelling? I hope that made sense. I usually rock the look for three weeks and get it redone going into what would be my 4th week.
@RiseRoyalsLLC6 жыл бұрын
mooki33 Thank you so much luv! Yes, as the hair swells it shrinks. Definitely putting the Jamaican Mango and Lime at the beginning can prolong the life of your skinny twist. 5-7 days is actually around the time you will start to see some shrinkage so thats pretty normal. It really just depends on you and the amount of effort you put in to make your style last longer... such as not sweating, avoiding hot showers and any type of humidity. Hope this helped, if you have any more questions feel free to ask!
@mooki336 жыл бұрын
You are so very welcome. Thank you for the response. Dang. I thought you knew a way to hold off the swell a bit longer LOL. What do you recommend to moisturize and how often? I have tried a variety of products but I find that my hair seems to suck up any and all of it and is dry by midday. Currently I am using Creme of Nature Argan Oil leave in conditioner, Aunt Jackie's Half and Half hydrating milk and then I finish off with Cantu Shea Butter Oil Sheen. I don't use the Argan every day. I do that a few times a week.

Why my two strand twist be stiff when my stylist get done. I see everybody else twist and they actually have some shake to it. Moist and all. But when I have mines in it just sticks to my head and face damn near. Like literally I’ll turn my head to the side and lean over and it DOES NOT MOVE!! Help me with this please. It might just be the stylist. But I don’t know if it’s her or just my hair. Either way great video and I would appreciate the feedback if you see this
@RiseRoyalsLLC2 жыл бұрын
Show your stylist this video and ask them to follow it. I put this video out for that exact reason, so that you can achieve mobility and length. Your stylist could be using to much product.(Sounds like they’re using to much gel if it’s stuck to your face and hard) ✨☺️💫⚜️

@RiseRoyalsLLC3 жыл бұрын
If you’re trying to preserve the style for as long as possible I would advise wearing a shower cap in the shower so that you don’t get your hair wet, I would also try not to take a hot shower to stay away from the humidity because the humidity will shrink the hair as well.Basically get in get out.🤣Now if you’re having problems with your hair being all over the place In the morning I would either tie it back very loosely or where do rag at night or both just to be safe. ☺️✨⚜️
