Also he is really going to appreciate the stretching to help with his shrinkage... clips on the ends & 10-15 mins under the dryer

I’ve been growing my hair out for over 3 years. It doesn’t look that long because it shrinks because my hair is curly/coily. Every time I get my hair picked out and blow dried it looks this long or maybe even longer. I’m gonna get my hair professionally twisted, although I never did before. I am curious as to how long it’s gonna look.
@k.v.68853 жыл бұрын
It’s natural for the hair to shrink. You can do techniques to stretch your hair to retain length like blow drying or using clips
@vinuzo95483 жыл бұрын
Your length will be evident, it may shrink, but then you'll have the big bouncy twist look, which looks better than the long skinny ones imo
@VonnieVon20092 жыл бұрын
Shrinkage is good. It’s one sign that your hair is healthy. When I had this look, it lasted 3-4 weeks before my new growth at my roots started looking messy and unmanaged.

Thank you so much! This is great I have 2 questions: - what would you do instead if you dont have a good dryer? - how long will the twists last? - how do you keep them neat whilst sleeping? Thank you ✌🏾🌼
@VonnieVon20092 жыл бұрын
I’ve had these before and to answer your questions: 1. You can let them air dry. It’ll just take longer to dry and if you don’t use the clips on the end, they’ll just shrink a little. 2. Mine lasted 3-4 weeks before my new growth and parts started getting messy. The twists still looked great, but the the roots and parts were too messy. So, I took them down. 3. I wore a wave cap (du-rag) and then a bonnet over the du-rag whenever I went to sleep. The du-rag protects the roots and scalp from getting messy due to friction, and the bonnet protects the rest of the twists from getting messy due to friction.

@@VonnieVon2009 would a regular blow dryer work as well ? Should the heat be ok low ? And do you use bands at the bottom of your twists ?
@VonnieVon20092 жыл бұрын
@@alexuskellough6088 I used a regular hair dryer on mine all the time, and it was fine. The only thing is, you risk making your hair frizz faster by using a blowdryer. You can protect the scalp from fizzing by putting a du-rag over your head and blowdrying with it on. I didn’t use any rubber bands on my ends, they curled up and ‘sealed’ on their own.
