Help! When i try to bring a pattern, like a Leopard pattern, on the hair/fur with the color slot and melanin -> 0, the hair/fur will be rendered black only. whats wrong?

Thanks for the video. I didn't manage to make it works. I have got hair and fur on a sphere and I applied the hair standard to custom shader area on the modifier but Arnold kept rendering the shader from the sphere... Any idea ?

Rendering menu > Effects > Select hair & Fur > Hair Rendering Options > Hairs > Change 'buffer' to 'mr prim' ;)

Im trying to use the volume shader and create a sun. I cant find any tutorials for 3ds max arnold volume shaders and volume objects. I have a sun texture that id like to use and plug that into the displacement of the standard arnold volume shader but the material is just black. so yea i have no idea what im doing.

(I purchased the series) This tutorial didn't work when I opened it. I did get it to work by going to the Hair and Fur settings in Environments and Effects and changing the Hairs to "mr prim" instead of the default "buffer".
