I have never vaccinated pigeon in my life and am wanting to give the pmv vaccine to my young birds . Is it a good idea for me to do it with no past experience or can that end very badly if something is slightly off or slightly wrong.

It might be better to have an experienced fancier help you the first time to build your confidence. Use a short needle and only go about 1/8 inch under the skin.

No reactions at all to the vaccines. Pox leaves a tiny lump on the leg. Hope you like and can share the videos and tell your friends.

Most of the supply houses do not advertise the products on their websites. You must call. I get mine from Global.

Most of my pigeon babies die at the age of 10-15 days because of pox. So when should I vaccinate them? Right after hatching or should I vaccinate their parents who are 2-4 years old already. Will it help the babies? Please suggest me.

That is very strange? What country do you live in? You should vaccinate all the adult pigeons and spray the nest boxes with Pyrethrin. Most likely mosquitos are spreading the pox. I am not sure about vaccinating little babies for pox. You may want to look to keep the mosquitos away by misting the little babies with human mosquito repellent.

I use a short needle maybe 1/4 inch long and you only want to go into the neck between the shoulder blades 1/8 inch under the skin.

I buy from Global Pigeon Supply. You must call and ask and tell them you learned this from me. Most of the supply houses do not advertise the Vaccines but carry them if you call and ask. Global delivers every month or so to me so I get what I need from them.

I am sorry that I am not sure where you would get your vaccine. You can use NewCastle Vaccine for chickens and provide some immunity to the pigeons

If you have trouble getting pigeon vaccines you must use the chicken Newcastle and Chicken Pox that is available.
