Tutorial - Sprite Animation - Lesson 2: Sprites & sound FX

IMPORTANT NOTE!!!!
After removing the background and before trying to export the sprite, you should save all snapshots as a PSD file, preserving their original names (ROMname_00001.psd ; ROMname_00002.psd; etc.), close all .bmp files go to "File" - "Open" and search for the first PSD, click on it, check the "Image Sequence" box and open it. Then you can export it.
Lesson Number 2:
Remove the background, snapshot by snapshot;
Use the sequences of images to create an animated sprite with alpha channel;
Trim the audio and export it.

I'm real sorry, but it seems like i've made a mistake here. When I import the sprite in Sony Vegas, they come off blurry. Is there a way to avoid it?

CrasherSurge I'm not sure man, it's been years since the last time I've used SV. I can think of three possibilities: 1. Something is wrong with the quicktime file exported by Photoshop, probably related to its rendering quality. If it ain't blurry when you play it on a player, then it's probably fine. 2. Sony Vegas also has a quality setting to its preview window, located above it (or near it, not sure). I believe the worst is called "Draft" and it gets blurry as hell. But it's not related to the quality of the final product. Depending on your project, framerate of the preview can become quite low, so sometimes a lower quality might be necessary. 3. Maybe the sprite has been resized to appear larger in Sony Vegas. Check the project resolution or the sprite size on conversion. These may or may not apply to your case. Since I don't know how familiar you are with those softwares, my options may be rubbish. But I really hope they help! My best guess would be n° 2. Any questions, don't hesitate to ask!

(late comment) there's a new animator called mediaflash 8 that u can use for sprites or anything it's much more easier promise

I don't know anything about ROM hacks. This tutorial is part of a series teaching how to make a sprite animation in Sony Vegas. If it's somewhat useful for ROM hacks or not, I really can't tell.
