thank you thank you thank you :p i actually didnt know prior to watching this about the pedal being a hi hat; so in a sense getting the module is also another reason for me to get a kick trigger too :p

I hope you can help me! I just got the Alesis Trigger I/O (to use with the Xbox Midi Pro Adapter) and I'm trying to use the Ion pedal as a hi-hat pedal. I'm able to map the closed and open notes to Yellow and Blue just fine, but every time I press the hi-hat pedal (chick), it triggers the bass drum. I've read places that you can somehow keep this from happening but I can't figure out how!

I know it's personal preference but what settings do you use for your pedal? Because I got an rb1 pedal today and it doesn't like fast double kicks so it misses if there is consecutive kick notes, I have played around with the settings but nothing seems to work

Do all triggers recognize the ION pedal as a hi hat pedal? That automatically turned me off of this particular trigger because I prefer the feel of the ion pedal over a RB one.

Yes. The ion pedal is strictly a hi had pedal. The ion module overrides the signal it sends
