Welcome back guys! Today we'll be preparing the eggless mawa cake with tutti frutti.
A popular cake in India, it is a family favourite and can be the perfect combo for tea time and coffee (I'm sure all the 80's and 90's kids will relate XD). This is a cake which is usually served sliced and is deliciously moist and moreover we have added the tutti frutti twist to give it an overall sweet balance.
The recipe is also simple and quick and can be made at home easily. It can be the perfect addition to your celebrations and I hope it will bring back some memories of the old days with the store bought mawa cakes :D
Ingredients required :
Butter - 110g
Sugar - 125g
Mawa - 160g
Vanilla essence - 1 tsp
Curd - 55g
Maida - 210g
Baking powder - 1 tsp
Baking soda - 1/2 tsp
Salt - 1/4 tsp
Milk - 175g
Tutti Frutti - 30-40g in the batter and 20g for garnish
Baking instructions:
Bake in a preheated oven for 170-180 degrees Celsius for 50-60 mins or until done with both the rods on in an OTG in the middle rack.
Tin size - 3 by 7 inch and yields approximately 800 gms.
