Lesson- don’t rely on assumption or the justice system. If you need to leave a relationship, act your way through the end to avoid danger & risk, then leave when the person isn’t home, when you can leave without confrontation, or wait for a confrontation once extricated from their life in essential ways, then have protection in other people & public places. Especially with anyone who has weapons in the house. It’s rare, but since it happens at all- do prevention!

How can you not tell how many times a person was shot?
@dovebair2 сағат бұрын
Entry vs exit wounds. So, if she was shot in the left arm, the chest, and the right arm, you know that you have three entry wounds, and three exit wounds. However, if her right arm was in front of her right chest when she was shot, for example if she had held her arms up in front of her, then the bullet could have gone through her right arm, and her right chest. Based on how the body was found, the arm was probably no longer in front of the chest. So they aren't sure if the wound in the arm lines up with the wound in the chest. There's also the forensic issue of how many bullet casings you find. If you have a casing, you know a bullet went, but if you don't have a casing, it's hard to tell. So, if they didn't find a casing to correlate with the man's leg wound, and they only found two casings on the floor, then they can make the reasonable assumption that one of the bullets that struck the victim caused two wounds, via passing through.
