I must tell you guy's about an incident I witnessed earlier this week, I do a community health care job and while I was getting my notes and equipment out from my car I witnessed and heard a doorstep goon encounter where the legal occupier, used some very choice words to the goon before slamming the door so hard, I was surprised the glass didn't fall out, I suppressed myself from laughing and punching the air. 😂

my brother moved into his new house on monday. the property had been empty for 6 months. Tv licensing was at his door within 1 hour demanding a licence while he was still unloading the van. His new house doesn't even have an arial and his TV was still at the back of the van not unloaded. The licence bloke was really aggressive despite my brother waving the tv licence for the house he just left in his face.

I stopped playing the government none tax 14 years ago. I phone tv licensing informed them I no longer needed the licence. Two weeks later a employee turned up with the police, to check on my status. The employee then tried to reconnect me. With that I complained the police removed the ahole. So much for being fair. They are so p....d off with me not opening the door. They were based in Hertfordshire. this letter went straight on my fire and hopefully the wind was blowing in the right direct to smoke out Genghis Khan's ULEZ zone. They can visit us on Christmas Day. In the remote mountains of the Scottish Highlands we have no terrestrial signal or WiFi , just a weak phone signal. We've had several pestering letters but the letters have continued even though we've told them that until we can get a means of having some kind of connection , we're not paying for something they can't provide ! It's total madness. No wonder the licences are so expensive. It seems that the TV licencing staff simply don't know their geography and where there are dead signal zones but insist in provoking ordinary hard working people. As for Christmas Day , as I say, it is total madness !

We went No licence a long time ago, and they still send letters before 2 years or complain that we don't have one, threaten/insinuate they'll send someone round to check. Honestly declaring no licence is no different to business as usual. Question, if petitions don't work, complaining to politicians doesn't work and following the "normal channels" doesn't work. How the heck are the British public supposed to apply any pressure on government to abolish TV licensing? I'm certain people have been moaning and grumbling about it for years, but the BBC and the gov seem to keep dancing around it, saying bullshit like "Oh, we can't do anything until the charter review period" where they then pretend nothing is wrong and ignore it. What can we do to effect meaningful change at this point? Can we? Our systems seem completely toothless, except when they're causing us harm.

Their database holds 31 million home & business addresses. A licence fee increase of £5,00 equates to a potential extra £155 MILLION per year. Money for nothing.

Mass refusal to pay in the same way that the people refused to pay the poll tax en mass in the 1980's, that brought down Thatcher. If enough people refused to pay for the TV licence would at the very least clog up the system and force those running the BBC to come to the conclusion that the licence doesn't work.

I heard a story a number of years ago about one of these guys turning up at a military base in Northern Ireland during the troubles demanding access to the living quarters. Apparently he told the soldiers on duty at the gate he was going in and they were strictly forbidden to refuse him access and he was exempt from getting searched. He also stated that he had extremely high legal powers over the MOD and if they don't obey him he will get every soldier in the camp sacked . Silly man doing that at an MOD base anywhere but especially in Northern Ireland. How true this story is i don't know but nothing surprises me going by experiences i have had in the past with these guys.
