At the end when she and gives that little speech before and then sings "I know I'll never find another you", you can tell by her eyes and voice she means the audience. The warmth and affection is genuine and pure. Absolutely beautiful.

Theres very, very few people in the world universally loved as much as Judith. Definitely count them on one hand, Paul and Ringo come to mind, I'm struggling to name others, perhaps Audrey Hepburn, maybe Cassius Clay, but that's about it

I have never loved any singer anywhere near as much as I loved Judith Durham. I UTTERLY ADORED HER!. The staggering beauty of her voice and singing talent were just so wonderful that, to me, she seemed divine. A God-given talent. Now that she is no longer with us thank heavens we have so many recordings of her to love, cherish and enjoy here on KZbin.

The fact that Judith can sing so well for somebody her age but also that she interacted with the audience shows how much she loves and is loved by her fans , remember she is 12000 miles from home here on the other side of the world, think Lady Ga ga will be doing this in 2041, I think not !!

Her solo career was marginal. With the Seekers and Tom Springfield writing so many of their hits, she was a star. She was a fool to leave them for 25 years. Lost a lot of money and so did the others in the group. When they reunited after 25 years, she became a star again. Making it big in the music industry is the moon and clouds coming together. It must be a perfect combination of fate, talent, and marketing with FATE being the biggest player. That's why so relatively few live on forever. Her story is a great example of those factors. With all her talent - she HAD to be lucky, needed FATE to step in, otherwise she would still be a secretary singing jazz once a month in bars and small clubs.
@mikewalsh61684 жыл бұрын
Don't agree, her career also blossomed as a fine jazz and solo singer. Of course not as big as The Seekers; but she clearly felt she needed to follow a different route for a while.

Oh and by the way money isn"t everything in the music business.

@Documentary Partners She wanted to do more things in her career other than just churn out the same old hits.
