The aviation sector is critical to national development because it is one of the economy's key drivers. As such, President Bola Tinubu promised a robust aviation sector, focusing on improving airport runways and other critical infrastructure to guarantee the sector's growth, development, and safety. Since the inception of his administration in May 2023. President Tinubu has emphasized that the administration will focus on the modernization and expansion of airport facilities, improve aircraft maintenance, safety measures, and incident reporting requirements, regarding domestic airlines, and ensure fairness and transparency in ticket pricing for international and domestic airlines. The President appointed a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN, Festus Keyamo as the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development in August 2023 to drive this lofty vision

My only criticism is about the Cameras. Im happy about the barcode feedback sustem at the airports. The plans of live body cameras is not very effective. Nobody has time to be checking 1000 live feeds from a command center to look for conflict situations so the Cameras purchased for airport use should be able to record live and ALSO store playback over 90 days. Staff should be trained to self record during conflict situations failure of which (no recording proof will be deemed as the customer veing right) will be summary gross dismissal of the airport staff for non compliance with policy. Things happen and a live record system may miss it so for investigation purposes there should be recordings of events from the body camera and airport ANPR systems.

How can an aircraft come into our country and no one checks it🤔. Mr Festus as you have mentioned, please see that it's done because that's how vested interests would smuggle things into the country that could threaten our peace and unity.

Stop deceiving ignorant and go build a 21st century hub/airport. How far... Is Air Peace still flying to India, China, Tel Aviv and Jeddah... Airbus this, Boeing that. Stop deluding yourselves and first go build a hub before you come around to discuss aviation.
