I do wonder how many films they're talking about the segment that starts at 4:10, I've seen the majority of the films from the competition and I could only come up with Rodin, Meyerowitz Stories and maybe, maybe Good Time and Redoubtable but to me there's a justification for how those characters are not fleshed out, and I hope they're not talking about the Hong Sang-soo and Francois Ozon films because then they're missing the point. On the other hand Diane Kruger won for constantly crying for the lost of her family, I don't see a lot of agency and proactivity in her character/performance.

I've nothing against feminist films, but I don't appreciate when people demand that other people's films should be feminist films. the only place where they should demand a feminist movie is at their own director's chair.
