😂😂😂 This show is literally a reboot of the 90s Adventures of Lois & Clark how is this saving the arrowverse.. even after Stephen Amell recover from covid-19 within Canada he even outlined his reasons why he left the CW if because it's not the arrowverse anymore it's the CW verse... remember back when we had the arrowverse every crossover brought in new shows that's how Batwoman came in place... we have not seen any kind of crossover like that in the arrowverse or the CW verse ever since the book of Destiny crossover...

I hate to disappoint you but the odds of it maintaining quality writing is not in show's favor. The show is almost guaranteed to start a decrease in quality somewhere in season 3 and then spiral out of control from then on. The best we can hope for is 5 solid seasons and the show ends before it goes to hell.

CW need to run with this, spam promos and build hype instead of taking breaks here and there. Filming was delayed which caused the first break but they have a home run with this, a slam dunk and a game-winning touchdown if they don't fumble the ball in the final few weeks. "A Brief Reminiscence In-Between Cataclysmic Events" was a season defining episode and a fantastic play on Superman's origin story.

I disagree. I'm very happy they're taking breaks. They're not trying to just get episodes out there but great ones. If taking breaks mean the cast and crew get a breathe air and that the writing and overall quality of the show maintains then they can take as long as they want as far as I'm concerned.

@@JackFlicks I see your point but Superman and Lois had settled into a an average viewership per episode of over 1.2m and when it came back after been replaced by the woeful Supergirl for a few weeks the viewership had dropped to just over 700k. Without a doubt a break so early on and replaced in the timeslot by Supergirl cost them viewers. Superman and Lois has been slowly clawing its way back but has never managed over 1m since that first break. The last episode topped out at 845k. I think CW should promote the hell out of this and not associate it with the likes of Supergirl or Batwoman.

because CW don't have the final say in how the show is written WBTV HBO Max does. This show is under Berlenti's WB contract not his CW contract so when it comes to the show they report to them not CW. It's the same with Doom Patrol, Titans & Stargirl (which is under the same agreement type as SM&L) they are WB controlled contracts. The Flash, Legends, Supergirl & Batwoman are CW contracts.

There was going to be a scene in BVS in which Superman tries to find his Mum by using his super hearing. WB didn't allow Zack Snyder to put that scene in. Because that scene was supposed to be so dark. Clark uses his hearing and hears all the bad noises, women being raped, children crying, people grieving etc.

in general it's not a CW show, it's a HBO Max/WBTV show. WBTV have the superman TV rights and they have agreed with CW to co fund the show with CW getting to air the show and the it will go to HBO Max for streaming with them using the Arrowverse characters but WBTV have the creative control not CW. Stargirl is under the same type of agreement with WBTV having CC of the show.

I think one of the big reasons this succeeds is that it is a NEW story regarding Superman/Clark - it's not his origin story, or his death story, or the myriad of other stories everyone knows about regarding Superman. In this he is a father to Jordan and Jonathan, and a husband to Lois, but the show still maintains what makes him Clark/Superman. The chemistry between the characters in this show are on another level. The boys, while being typical teenagers who have issues; are grounded in reality and are actually believable as sons who were raised by Lois and Clark. The supporting cast is beyond exceptional, from Lana to Sam Lane. This is one of the best shows out there right now, if not the best. Also, on some level- it's a "safe" show - it's not going to leaving in curled up in a fetal position needing to up your meds after watching all your favorite characters get totally butchered by the bad guys like GoT and the Red Wedding. It's Superman - in the end, there is some comfort knowing on some subconscious level that he WILL save the world, and he will not compromise who makes him who he is.

He wsnt as serious as he is now but when he first appeared on Crappygirl I didnt hate him. I saw the potntial. Tyler had charisma but what gave me hope for this eventual series was that Clark enjoyed being Superman. He was the classic optimist of the older Superman comics but not crazy cheesy and got the responsibility but also realized he could have fun. If they kep the quality up this sries could run a decade or longer.

I think by the end of the next episode he will have broken free of the brainwashing if he was ever influenced by the brainwashing to begin with. The actor who plays Edge has said in an interview that in the remaining episodes, there are a lot of plot twists that make the episodes feel like a season finale and they keep getting more insane. I feel like evil Superman for more than one episode would be repetitive and I feel the writers know this too.

Why people keep on saying it's the best Arrowverse show or the best CW show? I'm 48 years old and I'm telling it's the best super hero show I ever seen so far. I watched Christopher Reeve Superman, Lois and Clark Adventures, Smallville, 90s Flaah, CW Flash, The Boys, Daredevil, Luke Cage, The Punisher, Jessica Jones, Invincible, Jupiter's Legacy etc. It's the best since it's a family drama with a superhero written so well. They actually improved this Superman story compared to the movies, cartoons and TV series by improving every aspect of all characters in Superman's storyline. Even the new characters are impressive and the connection between Lois and Clark looks real for once. The only thing they didn't improve is the glasses disguise. Hopefully they will later. All is really needed is to stop Greg Berlanti messing this up like other CW shows with his agenda which he admitted in an interview a few years ago.

This is the best show the CW has made since s1 of arrow and flash. God I hope this show doesn't do what they all did and slowly decline after the first season.
