It's a shame TVR went under before they could get the T440 and Typhon into proper production (the Typhon was basically going to be a T440 with a supercharger and sequential gearbox). Only six of them ended up being made, including two prototypes. All of them still exist today except, sadly, the prototype that Martin is driving in this video.

I like a woman with a bit of raw spirit! I like a car with a brutal rawness - just like a TVR! Thing is - I can't afford either! As for Martin - a bit raw for his taste? You want to fly with eagles, you have to prove you are made of the right stuff! I'm being fitted with my eagle suit next week, and I'm due to win the lottery the week after, so I'm off to the new TVR factory to place my order the following day - then its of to Germany to tear up that Nurdy ring thingy!

well, it's an in-line 6 engine with 4,2 liter cylinder capacity and American muscle cars mostly have heavy v8s with huge cylinder capacity and puny hp. no wonder it sounds different. also it doesn't even look remotely like a viper. The roof line alone is totaly different.

The week after that appeared in the Paper, Clarkson wrote "You may have felt a slight twinge in your arm and a huge chest pain when you heard Richard Hammond will be presenting it" No one hates Formula 1 more than Richard Hammond...Even the drive in the Renault F1 car didn't lift it much

As much as I love it the thing is nobody would pay £75k for a TVR, the flaws become far more unforgivable at that price.

vettes are ok but if you look at both of the cars there similar in many ways. Noise, looks (although imo the TVR dominates in that area) and performance (the ZR1 does take the upper hand). However i think that TVR is WAY WAY better than corvette!
