TVS Battle of Britain 50th Anniversary Airshow , Boscombe Down 1990.
This is my amateur shot film of the arrivals, airshow and departures.
One of the classic airshows of the 1990s, with an amazing line up of aircraft on the ground and in the air.
Highlights include -
Arrivals day footage, including Vulcan and Victor arrival , Australian F-111 practice with Fuel dump into the afterburner (21:15) , and practically every type of Fighter and Bomber seen at British Airshows in the 90s coming in.
Airshow day ( Starts at 40:00), walk around of the static display and photobus ride, a rather nice B-52 take off at 1hr :34, more of the F-111 with the Afterburner fuel dump and a great Phantom scramble at 2hr 8min.
Departures day ( in the rain !) starts at 2hr 14 min, some great footage of aircraft shrouded in mist , vapour and rain, worth watching for the Comet at 2hr 39min alone.

I was there walking along the taxi ways as the arriving aircraft positioned. Surreal. Amazing sight inside the brabazon hanger with all the spitfires parked inside.

We flew in for the weekend from Sembach AB. Germany with one of our EC-130H Compass Call aircraft. Really enjoyed seeing all the aircraft and had a great time... Thanks for posting this...

I was on guard duty of the spitfire scramble on press day and the Saturday. I would like to point out, the static display was a hoot, especially the foreign airforces allowing us Royal Observer Corps walk around on board the aircraft, unlike the RAF pilots who told us to P.... off. The B52 crew were exceptionally accommodating as I remember 👍🏻 This was one year (almost) before i joined the RAF,happy days! Thanks for the upload 🤗

I was there! I remember the whole airshow, specifically that poor hare at the 1:57-ish mark that was running for his life down the runway! What great memories.

Some fantastic aircraft. I am wondering whether I was there that year. It looks too green for the year I remember which was swelteringly hot. I do remember seeing a B52 and Vulcan when I went. When did the airshows stop at Boscombe?

J F Only held two, 1990 and 1992.
