Today We continue the progress on the slammed sierra. If you didn't know I am going to be walking you through the engine swap process from 4.3L V6 to 5.3L V8 LS engine. In todays video I cover all the steps to remove the engine. This how to remove the 4.3L V6 engine, will also work on silverado and probably tahoe and yukon 2wd. I was able to remove the engine by myself in my garage with minimal tools. We are now one step closer to the ls engine swap in the GMC Sierra.

@@TWAMotorsports I've got my LT1 out of my 94 project trans am. But I don't have a lift so I had to lay on my back underneath with a car Jack and block of wood to drop the the automatic 4l60e transmission. I bought a 10x20 carpet at Walmart to lay on and of course to catch any oils and fluids. I have OCD so I take my time and prep before a big job like that. I have pig blankets that I had from my technician days of being a mechanic. They work great they absorb the fluids instead of leaving a stain on the carpet I bought..👍

That's strange my 05 silverado 1500 came with a 4.3 and has electric fans! You going to do a front clip swap. Like the newer 05?

Big question, im doing a 4.3 to 5.3 as well, i plan on keeping my 5 speed, would that be a big factor when doing the wiring harness? My truck is 01 an the 5.3 i got is a 05, has electric throttle, would i have to go to a cable throttle body? Thanks in advance. Love your videos!

You will need to get cable throttle body and wiring harness from same year with 4.8 5 speed
