As an Aaron _Rodgers_ fan, I am sick and tired of everyone comparing his stats to his best years & judging his performance based upon that. Her suggested in *the **_preseason_* what to do about the problem of the Rookie Receivers & guess what? He was right. Not only that, the supposed "successful Matt Lafleur" (how effing hard was it to win with Rodgers & just Davante Adams. _Seriously?_ *THAT'S* somehow _his_ greatness?) stared in incomprehension down the field every time Rodgers was proven right. It's one thing to do this for One Game. The Packers' passing game stalled out for *nine full **_weeks_* while the rat in the wheel of what passes for Matt Lafleur's brain remained in a coma. Do you realize that Rodgers has been treated like an unwanted step-child by the organization from Day One & it has _never once_ been different? McCarthy refused to speak to Rodgers & now Lafleur's ego thinks he knows more about passing than him. Rodgers himself seems to have adopted a childish "I won't let you trade me until you apologize" attitude that I almost think he _would_ rather retire than give up on getting, but he never will. The _worst_ part? I don't know if the Broncos told other teams that they were willing to go all out as they did for Russell Wilson, but let's look at the ways in which having traded for Aaron Rodgers instead can only have worked out better. 1) The Packers wanted him gone & 2) as an organization seem to draft poorly simply because they hate the whole drafting process. Between that & 1) it would have cost them _WAY_ less in draft capital. 3) Way less cap $ overall too. 4) Hackett was one of The Few coaches to treat Rodgers with respect in Green Bay & voluntarily delegated offensive play-calling. No way does _he_ ignore Rodgers if Aaron sees anything that can improve team success. 5) No way does Rodgers lose what was it _nine games_ that would have been won had the Broncos scored less than 18 points. (No way he performs less than Wilson. Simply put, Rodgers was throwing dimes all season, but Lafleur refused to run plays his receivers could make catches on whereas we have video footage of Russell Wilson doing that almost never, while missing wide open receivers. Rodgers scored more with worse plays). & my favorite, 6): no way in week one does he embarrass himself & let his entire team down by trotting off the field with 4th & 5 & beg the HC to "pleasepleaseplease kick a FG instead of putting any weight on My Shoulders then plaesepleaseplease tell everyone that it was always Your Decision?" How Evero kept his defense running until week 17 against the Rams when that was _week effing one_ I will never know. But again, this doesn't happen with Rodgers. Rodgers only performed so badly A) *AT FIRST BECAUSE* of the receivers & bad play-calling, then B) because, & I'm guessing here, a combination of him giving into it all despite what he knew to be wrong, plus a hope that at least some sports analysts out there would see he was right even if his coaches didn't. Poor Aaron doesn't understand. He's not respected by anyone. He was The Greatest QB in The Greatest élite QB era & for reasons most people will never admit to, is respected by no coaches, fans or even most analysts. & it's killed his career. He hasn't played on a good defensive team except for one blip year. But he gets blamed for _all _*_their_* playoff losses.
@ForsakenWar

@Choose Carefully Yea... Mahomes had an entirely new wide receiver room last season as well. While Rodgers ignored his new Packers WRs the entire off season while he was doing shrooms and meditating... Mahomes invited all his new WRs down to Texas for a month to work out and gaun some chemistry... and threw for over 5,000 yards and won the MVP. But keep your delusional take that rodgers is a stand up guy man...🤡😅
@choosecarefully408
@choosecarefully408 Жыл бұрын
@@ForsakenWar 1) I didn't say _any_ of *that.* 2) So, does every receiver who gets asked over for dinner perform well & each one who doesn't not? Interesting. & does it have to be the _QB's_ house? If so, why aren't they contractually bound to host these? Seems like a _MASSIVE_ oversight on the staff of the NFL to not include that. 3) Rodgers saw The Problem, correctly diagnosed it, suggested what to do about it whereas Matt Lafleur stared from the sidelines as if he thought it was a video game & that only the QB avatar determined whether or not passes were caught & so couldn't figure out how the video game screwed him. For nine weeks. Nine weeks of him staring down the field trying to figure out... what? How to reprogram the game? Maybe he should have hosted a dinner party to make his receivers learn how to catch while running, eh? Makes you wonder why they _practice._ Now Mahomes' receivers aren't all performing the same. So how does that mesh with this dinner-related theory of yours? Did McKinnon get served more fries with his Coke that he did so much better down the stretch, or is that more of a steak tartare thing? Did Rodgers host one of these the year he won the super-bowl then forget, or is that how we know he isn't serious about winning? Are you _SURE_ it isn't because of the goat that they sacrifice _for_ the meal?

@Choose Carefully 😅You're making the dinner reference kid... for some reason😅 Taking the initiative to work with the new guys to develop some chemistry would seem pretty important wouldn't it? And wouldn't you say about the mid point of the season Rodgers and Watson were finally getting on the same page? Because Watsons numbers sure reflected that they were. So you're welcome... glad I could clarify for you what a quality QB does who's NOT a diva and who's more interested in 'finding himself'...😅

@@Docwilson91 No offense taken, on the surface, it IS an odd combo, but I can explain. I got into the game around age 7, around the 1993-94 season. My dad grew up in Greeley, CO and at the time everything was all about Elway and the Broncos and he was over it. He chose the next best team in the division, which at the time was Kansas City. By the time I got into watching, I had the great fortune of seeing Joe Montana as our QB. Even if he was in the twilight of his career, he still had the aura of “Joe Cool” and I was sold on KC from day one. A couple years later, my dad’s side of the family welcomed me into their personal betting pool. $10 entry fee per person, everyone would pick a team to ride with all season long and whichever team made it the deepest into the regular/postseason won the pot. KC was hit or miss by that point, Montana was gone and you couldn’t be sure from season to season how they were going to do, so I looked elsewhere for the sake of the gamble and a team in green from the NFC East had looked promising the previous season, so I placed my bets. Slowly but surely, I found room in my heart for my first love in KC and this exciting new team captained by Randall Cunningham and Ray Rhodes. 25-30 years of heartbreak and triumph later, the rest is NFL history. 😁👍🏻

I'm a class A school (DC EVEREST) in Schofield WI at the time but mannnn anything under 50 yards is like a walk thru for me.
