I bought it when came out years ago. The console is handy. It's got a good layout. Nothing really spectacular about it just a solid pew pewing ship. It's what I chose for my KDF recruit.

I'm sure coverage of regular ships like this compared to the gamble, Legend, & Mudd big price ships may not be as popular but I like the practicality of this type of coverage a bit more. This ship can do impressingly well as both a cannon & beam build, not sure about a torp build since never have tried. I don't think there's a terrible ship out of that whole older Delta Rising stable. Well done on your Mat'Ha build. Excellent point about making the most out of what one has compared to having all the options.

I really like the spinal cannons that come with it just for fun builds, but yeah when I low effort a build I use the Klingon EIC as it buffs weapon power and is just a great little cheap console. The Federation version is the Enhanced Plasma Manifold and it buffs everything except weapon power making it useful in space wizard builds.

Good evening. When I mentioned that I was going to try out a Disruptor dual heavy cannon build on my T5 Neg'var Orion Tactical captain in your budget disruptor build video, you pointed me to this video this week. I pretty much followed the skill tree you presented in beginners video, which is very similar to the skill tree you have presented in this video, with minor exceptions. Like my Fed Engineer captain in his T5U Excelsior class, my Orion is now level 65. However, unlike the Excelsior, in my Neg'var, I find myself in a continual death loop, during missions. For the story missions, despite my toon being at max level, I have only finished up to Borg Advance, so I haven't done some of the missions that drop some of the usual recommended gear from your budget beginner videos, such as Future Proof, Age of Discovery and New Frontiers. I have an unused level 61 ship token, but when I looked at the ships that I can get with that token they had pretty much the same base HP that the Neg'var has, except the BoP Retrofit of course. Should I spend my token on one of these ships, or wait and give her the Event T6 Mirror Gagarin that I am working on right now? Do you have any suggestions that would help me get out of my death loop, because as it stands its just really frustrating to play this toon on the KDF side. Thanks for your time.

The hit points on the T5 are pretty low. You can make it work but will have to up your resistance values quite a bit.

It s a fun ship. I m using it together with the fleet gagarin, the kelvin timeline dreadnought and the temer raider (the only ship which does not run phaser, it s a torp bomber), to switch them for fun

Not sure if people clarified for you or if you found what the 500% cost reduction from the Borg 2pc means but is simply 500% over your base cost reduction for energy weapons further increasing the value and not completely negating any cost but is almost there because it also gives you a high rate of energy drain resist that effects the energy consumption as well. well that fun..... just got epic prize token so vorgon ytijara dreadnaught cruiser added to my f2p stable .... as learning curve phaser beamer for once i finally get my 1500 lobis for the kelvin timeline dreadnaught cruiser.... phaser tank ... with (lol) 165k hp .... certainly plays different then my 100k hp temer cannon

Hello there. The setups and builds you have here are great, and are working well for me. I have mentioned before videos aren't always crystal clear, and wanted to ask if you could either do a video or text description of your spam/skill tray setup in order of how you do it. You know - like what button do you place from left to right (including your devices, D.O.M.I.N.O., and the like) in your space skill/button tray for most effect. A video on your tray setups for your FAW, Overload, and Cannon DPS/damage builds (if you don't have one yet), would be grand. Thank you kindly.

The Domino should be a manual click so you can time it to maximize it at the right time.

Also, cannons. Duals fire three times in six seconds, Dual Heavys fire twice. So, wouldn't duals proc more often than dual heavy? Like 33% more often? Also, my thoron duals have a +10% accuracy rating which my thoron dual heavy does not. Just seems that the answer to the question "which are better" is a bit more complicated than the +10% crit severity of the dual heavy. My mind is not made up but I know folks who swear that dual is better than heavy. Thanks for the build. There are very few recent builds out there. Cheers.

@@seadog6351 -- There is that (your argument) , and on top of that there's the general + weekend / event lag that plays havoc on powers & weapons even going off at all (at times , for certain people) , which for them makes the chance of their Duals actually firing greater then their Dual Heavy's firing . And if you're dead (or your weapons don't fire) , you don't do any DPS . ;)

I ended up settling on heavies for the innate +10% CriD they have. I will still use duals from time to time depending on what I have available to me.

You can get the Risian Corvette from the Phoenix store, but the T5 does not come with the Soliton Wave Impeller.

I'm sorry, but this console isn't from this ship, it's from other ship, not tier 6! This ship came with a console that is a Disruptor Lance if my memory serves... Nice video! Always a good source of info!

@@MCStu The are three different ships that console comes from. The T1 c-store B'Rotlh Bird-of-Prey, The Klingon Recruit M'Chka Bird-of-Prey refit, and the Legendary B'Rel Bird-of-Prey

When you’ve been maxing out your endeavours have you been able to get more choice over what to level as mines always been 3 choices at random so I’ve basically almost everything at the same level

No all random, but with that being said you will find that you can still get the ones you want up highest, for the most part.

It's a lot like Delayed Overload Cascade but a lot less control. Also, the ship lacks command seating, so running a torp build on it wouldn't be that impressive.

I recently started to get back in to STO. Could you do a video to help out if you’ve been absent from STO for a while. My Lvl 60 character Starfleet Tactical was made in 2018. Logged in now in 2021, it shows I’m at Borg Advance with episodes, I’m sure I had complete it all the way to Future Proof. But I thought I’d replay the first mission of Borg Advance again, but I get totally wiped out within 30 secs. I thought I had good setup back when I stopped playing in 2019 but now my character just seems unplayable and so weak I can’t continue. Be good to get some tips on what to look at, or do I just start with a new character?

You can use all ships on any faction if you have either; bought the cross faction unlock from the zStore ($$) or Leveled a Klingon character to lvl 65 (Free).

Do you think Beam Overlord is now better than Beam Fire at Will (Riker)? The +5 second trait costs 900 Lobies (720 if on sail or 450 once a year on mega sail) and the ship that comes with it isn't even super good.

For damage output, beam overlord is far better then fire at will.
