The Vengeance was my first lobi ship too. I've bought many ships afterwards, but I always find myself returning to fly her again and again. Override Subsystem safeties, 2x aux2batt, Ba'ul DBB/Torp, and FAW. Shreds through all the bad guys lol. When I first got it, I had a phaser DHC build. Now I just want to park and fire lol.

I love the Vengeance so much. It was a near-unanimous recommendation when I asked for a good flying brick/beam boat platform a few years back, so I ended up farming Lohlunat to buy one from the Exchange. The Temporal Light Cruiser I picked up from this year's event has pried me from the Vengeance's bridge for now, but only time will tell if that lasts. Bottom line, the ship's fun to fly and it feels like the fleet-murdering nightmare that Khan designed it to be.

Vengeance made me love the Section 31 vanity shield on my other ships. I’ve basically made my main character a Section 31 agent.

The Vengeance was my first premium ship as well Stu. I absolutely love it. Got it with the 1000 Lobi reward in last years event. Got the Ataleth for the trait and the Iktomi for my science toon. 50% off Lobi was pretty handy. Looks like I’ll have to look at that Husnock next. Very helpful vid indeed. 👍

Don't sleep on the Maquis Raider. Upgrading it to T6-X and outfitting it to a Beam Overload build gave me some great firepower possibilities. My first Lobi ship I got off the Exchange was the NX Refit. I had some great success in that little ship. May need to go back and update it.

I got the Ateleth from a box and it served me well back then. I still have it and the console safely put away. I use the trait too. I kinda like its looks. I have the Kelvin dreadnought but right now I am in a Styx and it is really doing me well. I need to get back to a beam boat build on the Styx though. I am running a torp/beam build but it is hampering the ship a little.

1:25 Xindi-Primate - #5 is gorgeous, rather have experimental than hangar tho. 8:21 Husnock Warship - decent, looks nice (better without the exposed peni) 14:10 Son'a Intel Battlecruiser - nice 20:04 Tholian Iktomi - not personally a fan of tholian design 25:02 Kelvine Timeline Intel Dreadnought Cruiser - fantastic ship, just so slow (turn rate) :( again wish I could swap hangar for experimental weapon

This video only held on surprise and that was the Husnock. Not that I've ever heard anything but good about it but the S'Ona, Iktomi and Xindi ships all have strong "meta" traits. The Kelvin Dreadnaught is just a hugely popular ship so I figured it would be on the list. My list would actually have the three meta ships; two for my science character and one for my main. I already have one, which is the Walker. Got that one purely because I like the scaling version and wanted a T6 version. The last one is purely for looks. It doesn't even have a starship trait and its console is Tank-centric. No Specialization seating either because it is a T5-U. That ship is the Advanced Obelisk Carrier. I have the Fleet version but since Cryptic will neither add a Mastery package to that one nor make a T6 variant, the best I can do for end game is the Lobi version.

Xindi doesnt look too bad, it just doestn fit int the Star Trek theme. It would probably fit better into Star Wars as some wealthy Corsuscant magnates yacht/personal battleship.

The Kelvin Dreadnought was the first Dread that I bought off the exchange and I love it, use duel Beam bank on it and it works awesome.

@@MCStu keep up the great work And one thing you do that stands out is explain what things do in layman terms and where to get items If ok to ask is the martock omni and console ok for a Disruptor build I’m using coalition beams on my arbiter not the fleet one though

interesting reason and builds in the ships per say in my opinion :D, ive been chasing the big numbers in DPS for a bit now and id like to share my opinion (even if its the same as you i will still say it) :D Ateleth Trait is BIS (best in slot) for Beam overload as it makes you get 100% uptime on it (usage, beam overload) Husnock trait is very good for Beam Overload and something i would use if i had it. (usage beam overload) Son'a trait is BIS trait for a torpedo boat. i am not joking the amount of damage these things can do is very dangerous (usage, torpedo boats with CFP3 or build that runs CFP3 or gets it from a external source, with a torpedo, i get 200K ish on a ISE with trait if thats says anything) Ikitomi trait is one of the best Science traits in the game since PO (photonic officer) is a very hand ability and IPO (Improved photonic officer ) is very good for any build with a lot of exotic damage as for the ships i would Ateleth and son'a i would not use (trait fodder) Vengeance is nice but i can find better preforming in the C Store and lobi store Ikitomi is a okay science vessel, again i can find better in C Store and Fleet storee Husnock is one of the best Ships in the game for Directed Energy Damage. if you use the console from the miradorn its extremely power full to top in the game almost at the level of promo ships. small little thing CFP (Concentrate Fire power) will override it self in the bad way, 1 will override 2 and 3, and 2 will override 3. which can cause loss of CFP Procs other ship to look at Maquis raider (decent ship, good console for sci) Walker (console fodder pvp) Tal Shiar (trait fodder) NX (trait and console fodder mainly) overall a very nice list :D and consider me a new sub :D Ingame handle: encommander#0803 (if you want to poke me in game) if i have made any mistakes please do correct me so i can get better at stuff :D

small thing to add, the husnock trait might have a hidden cooldown (so it can only be used again after x amount of time, not sure how long it is)

Love these videos Stu! I’m very new to the game, and it’s very confusing but I’m managing. I have zero idea on how to obtain the Lobi credits required for the kelvin timeline ship. Would it be easier to just search the ship on the exchange and buy it there?

Lobi is obtained by purchasing lock box key and opening boxes, which always give lobi and other prices. Most will buy keys and sell them on the exchange instead and just buy the ship that way.

you do know that you can reclaim all consoles from lobi or lockbox ships from ddil store? (aslong you still have the ship active, not in dock)

Just a quick clarification for any newer players: In the vid, it was stated that Cannon Rapid Fire is a subpar skill. This is NOT true if you have the trait - Go For The Kill. I have seen a massive boost in my performance with CRF/GftK over CSV/WB. And it's currently on sale in a VERY nice Mudd's bundle, with 3 VERY good ships at half price. The Maquis Raider is a very good MW Lobi ship, the Promo JH Strike Ship is just simply a beast and has one of the very best traits in the game, and Quark Marauder holds its own as well. Go for the Kill is functionally superior to Withering Barrage in every way. Not trolling you Stu. Just have to point this out.

I agree that Rapid can be very effective, It's just farther down on my list when I am making recommendations as you have to have a promo ship to make it as effective as BO or CSV. I should be more clear when I make statements like this.... How obtainable something is is a big factor, but does not mean it is subpar.....

@@MCStu you're doing fine. As I said, I wasn't trolling. It's the same as it would be to get Superweapon Ingenuity...a rarer, more expensive - but ultimately completely worth it - ship with a phenomenal trait. Although, in the case of GftK, I'm continuing to use the ship on one toon as a daily driver. The Xindi just...looks too much like a shoe horn lol... And im not being a salesman for Cryptic either. Just that the Wormhole Bundle is THAT good in terms of what you can get...account unlock for GftK on a BEAST/MW Raider (which has partially retired my old Fleet Defiant...which is something I never saw happening on my Tac)/MW 5/3 Marauder? Yes please. And I thought it was worthwhile to point it out for new-ish players.

I am seriously starting to consider taking the lobi over the promo ship as I play more; but I can't settle on a ship at all. Basically I want something like the Jem'Hadar Vanguard Carrier but better; I've realized out of my Jem ships it is my favorite but a lot of people fly it so I would like pretty much the same or slightly better layout on a different ship lol mainly two hanger bays with at least 4 tac slots and a decent amount of sci slots, a secdef would be cool but I don't think its possible to get all that on one ship like I want Edit. A promo one I found on the wiki that fits for example is the Kelvin Intel Carrier Warbird T'laru. There doesn't seem to be a lobi option

@@MCStu Ohh interesting, I forgot to look at fleet versions entirely til you suggested that carrier! Its fleet version is pretty much exactly what I want. Zen ship too so easy for me to get hmm, I will definitely end up trying that ship thank you and now I remember I should look at the fleet version what extra console slot they get. It kind of looks a bit odd for a ship but the frame is awesome.

I like the sleek blade look of the Ateleth but don't own it. Ouch on the loss of your console, it's shame Cryptic won't implement a reclaim mechanic. The alien that killed the Husnock was a Douwd. Surprising to me that you like the Son'a Intel BC's looks & your reasons but not that Ateleth. I have the older version of the Iktomi, the Orb Weaver, nice little science vessel. The Vengeance is such a solid ship in almost every way. Nice overall list & video.

Trouble with the Dread's is they turn so slow, even with proc's. A 6 or 7 turn rate with a 50% boost is still only around a 10 turn rate.

hammerhead (Tzenkethi Tzen-tar Dreadnought Carrier) is a promo ship, not a lobi ship. It has occasionally been featured in the lobi store with a few offer promo ships, but they are not always available, like 99.9% of the time not available. Maquis raider didn't make it in the list, its a Awesome ship for tac, but the trait is not very good, the console is amazing but its for sic, so maquis raider is kind of a weird one, as an account unlock it would be high up on the list for sure.

@@MCStu yes i guess,wasnt saying you were wrong... just that the hammerhead is sorta kinda mayb the best ship in the game.imo and if you fly sci and dont have the brown tornado...youre not much of a sci captain... ya lobi...costs too much...dont like it..i dont partake in slot rng odds that are pooled and not rng at,tyvm :O i buy ships from ,other luckier people. that dont mind selling it to me at less than it should cost. is your #1 ship good? yes .but ive had it for along time and prefer the lockbox one.it looks like old gen star trek...and its got a hole in the middle...dont like that.and it cost me 40 mil...i have 500 mil ships ...that i fly instead. like the hammerhead.

Ok, I'm probably gonna get the vengeance for my Tac guy. My suffering Sci girl needs something cool though. I'm looking at the Voth Bastille Temporal Science Vessel, Sphere Builder Science Vessel, Xindi Primate Cruiser, Hurq Multi-Mission Science Vessel, and I think that does it because I want slightly more science focused ships obviously, but still. I'll take suggestions from those?

Note to noobs.. Run two of your fave books to reduce cooldown. Eg. 2 x beam overload for 15sec cooldown (instead of 30 secs) Add super weapon starship trait (+ 5 sec uptime) and you have constant beam overload (my fave by far)

Using the shared cool down with copies works as long as the seating on your ship to allows for 2x rand III of the ability, if not photonic officer works better.

Yes It is 100% ok to use any of the classes on any ship and in any roll. I have a sci captain i use on a tac cannon build.....

Yes it is perfectly ok to do that you can pretty much put whatever combinations you want together and make it work people do hybrid stuff all the time

Hmm, maybe you didn't delete the Console, with my currentz Twink, I claimed the Purchased Legendary Scimitar as soon as I was able to, and was missing a Console, that wasn'T available for the Advanced Scimitar Systems-Set. Since it's a Zen-Store -Ship in my case, that was fixed, by sending the Ship away and Claiming it again from the Store. I already send that Issue in, and the Support forwarded it to the Programers.

It's a very good platform, tac heave and MW which i like. The weird thing is the the console and trait are for sci.... the console is very good for sci builds. Great ship for tac, awesome console for sci.....

Vengeance in Place #1? Yeah that gets an instant like from me; It was my first premium ship also, grinded to until a friend sold one to me on discount. When I first crossed 100K I did so in the Vengeance and again at 300K and once more at 400K. Absolutely love it and seriously considering getting one for my romulan alien tactical toon I have since started using more than the original vulcan engineer
