Tweaking the Hell out of -

I tried to do my best to crank up what i can to make it sound something nice or at least "challenging". So to give more context i hit here and there some 808 drums in it or pull out some effects. The sequencer is kinda nice and i get the feeling a a broad rich soundspace from this #Moog #Labyrinth. Still need to know the details which aren't avaialbe at the release of this clip. I also not patch i only to some clock changes maybe.
Check part 2, i tried a more ehrm, non wild approach.

Hi, i notice that you have 2 bigger EG knobs at the right than i see on other videos, where they have the same small size as the rest of the small knobs. Did you change them yourself? If so, where do you get them? Great video collection about a awesome synth!!!

Way more. Yout got 2 sequencers they will be modulated in pitch from different sources. Than you have wave folding and ring modulation, this gives you a huge spectrum of sound. It makes a lot of fun dicovering sounds.

For me it seems like I could get most of these sounds out of my dfam. I see the sequencer is more intricate on this though. Sounds good though.

No you can not, the spectrum of the timbre of the moog dfam is completely different, ringmod and wavefolding is something else.

Is it just me or have all the demos from these things sounded generally terrible? No offense intended, I just don’t quite see what role this synth is supposed to fill especially since the subharmonicon can do polymeter (or polyrhythm, I forget which one it does).

Quantization to different scales is a big diff.

I would love to create nice sounds but i am still missing the manual to fully understand what i am really doing. It is more kind of an dive in and look for nice sound. For example there is some modulation that goes into the quantizer and modulates the pitch, sometimes heavy and sometimes just a little bit. Here i dunno how to properly set it up. Let's wait for @loopop s review ;-)

@@janjuno oh right, Moog moved away from the physical manuals in favor of online which aren’t available yet. Just to be clear I wasn’t criticizing you, I appreciate the lengthy video and noodling as that’s all I would end up doing, it’s just curious how uniformly terrible it’s sounded with everyone who’s released videos so far. If it takes someone of Loopop’s expertise to sound good then maybe this isn’t an impulse buy synth like the DFAM was.
