Very enjoyable episode. Here are some suggestions for future episodes with today's activity. Mix characters from: - The DK series - Pokemon series - Make a character by mixing all the villain characters in the game (Bowser Jr 👀) - Mix the projectile heavy characters (e.g. Samus, Gunner, Megaman, etc .... Duck Hunt 👀) Take the top 3 or bottom 3 characters of a specific stat and make the best character, for example: - Make the best "heavy" - Make the best super light weight character - Make the best character with no significant disjoints Name a character and come up with the perfect counterpick character using moves and stats from other characters: - What would the perfect Sonic counter character look like? How about Steve? etc.

Honestly, besides new mechanics/universal moves and a good training room/netcode, the main thing I want from Smash 6 is new movesets. Would help the game stand out from past Smash games, and several characters have gotten a lot of new moves recently. Imagine a non floaty, and fast Samus that reflects ZM/Dread rather than Super Metroid. Also obligatory Dante/Nero, a non FF7 Final Fantasy rep, and some rep from the Tales Of sereis(which in some games had very similair combat to Smash).

I get what Gavin means about indies, the high level indies being eligible for games like rivals or brawlout vs being assist trophies in smash. Ori and SK fit like a glove to rivals, but assist trophy makes sense for smash

Yes, smaller starting roster where all characters are revamped, new mechanics (I like the idea of being able to grab anyone in the air, even people hanging on edges, it would just be more realistic, as well as no more "falling helplessly forever after certain attacks", instead let us keep making attacks even as we don't have more jumps, jabbing as we fall to our death, etc), but most importantly, a more robust adventure mode. So, 40 characters is enough, nd then they can take their sweet time to release one new character at a time throughout the entire Switch 2 lifetime. All the old ones (but do we know for sure?! That's the exciting part) and some newcomers as well. Maybe 100 in the end, and everyone will be happy. Except the Chrom fan, there won't be a Chrom.

For Fire Emblem you 100% have Robin side special and Marth neutral special with Roy speed. That alone will lead to guaranteed shield breaks if anybody tries to block side special. So now his side special in an insane projectile with insane pressure.

No need for a reboot or Ultimate Deluxe because the Switch 2 will be backwards compatible with Switch games so all someone needs to do is insert Ultimate into their Switch 2 to install it, then wait for Nintendo to periodically update Ultimate with dlc and patches. They can kill two birds by giving veterans new kits who’re in dire need of them and allow players the option to use their old or new kits, maybe even use moved from both old and new kits. Simply updating Ultimate should also enable them to avoid licensing issues for second and third party fighters.

I understand where tweek is coming from though. What’s really Needed in smash is representations, not just popular characters. And they need to be original game characters, not from anything outside. But at the same time, you don’t want to overload characters from the same world. And their gameplay needs to feel like it can translate well to smash.

For ness/lucas keep Lucas nair, zair, ftilt, pk thunder, pk freeze, dair, jab. Lucas zair plus ness magnet would be broken, especially since Lucas a weaker melee wavedash with zair. Lucas oos will be fine bc he has footstool djcz oos which I think contends for best oos option in game.
