Watching MKLeo against Sonix, Game 4, he was down to his last stock with a major stock difference, and he played immaculately. Super defensive, camped when he needed to, and never overcommitted. Leveled out the stocks and Sonix' lead and ultimately stole the game. The crowd was in sheer ecstasy and glee, complete with a 5 foot print out of Leo's head. Game 5 starts and already Leo gets super aggressive. "What the heck is he doing? What happened to trusting the (game) plan?!", I'm busy shouting in my head. 30 seconds or whatever later, Sonix is up a stock, and you know the vibes. A similar interaction happened with Big D against Riddles as well; played defensively and extremely disciplined to prevent the set loss, stole the hearts of the crowd, and then gets too excited and rushes in upon hearing "GO!" and loses. When Tweek has his chance against Sonix, the crowd is cheering him on, completely with 5 foot print out showing off his high cheek bones. He's up games, and yet somehow Tweek doesn't any of this go to his head and sticks to the plan and doesn't over commit. The conversation regarding his mindset against Sonix was certainly illuminating and also demonstrates just how fragile the lead is, going against the best player in the world. Otherwise, congratulations on your in bracket victory over Syrup and tournament win. May this be the maiden voyage of a Steve mastery arc.

@@xviinaichi3793 12:15 but it's lightly touching it, not his mindset game to game, but coming into the set. If he were to fight Sonix from the Loser's bracket, there's a lot less confidence going in as opposed to Sonix challenging him as the Grand Finals bracket was set up.

Honestly to me this was a really really impressive win by tweek. More than lmbm because beating sonix is one thing you when you haven’t played him for a while, but beating him again after he’s lost and grinded the matchup is so impressive. And it’s so good to hear tweek practicing Steve and being sharp in the matchup I truly feel like he can beat anyone now. Can’t wait to see his future runs

I watched the tourney with my Little bro and our friend. I’m a very regular viewer but they don’t follow the stories and meta. Great insights though, early tourney our friend said “so if I start grinding play ROB?” And sure! But by top 8 they hated Steve and Sonic and they hated Steve more until watching Sonix. “How to even F*** with that”. By the time Sonix played Onin, my little brother was rooting for Onin and our buddy said “my cue to go to bed”. Lol! And my brother was standing and hollering in cheering for every stock Tweek took! Some things are so apparent casuals can see it immediately. Great Dub! And great show!
