Really good to hear the truth about Tweeterhead discussed. I’ve known Chad is a scumbag who can’t run his company for 5 years now. If you can’t run a company you need to know how to get help - these are SAME DAMN PROBLEMS he had 5 years ago. He’s never in control. Always overwhelmed. You have to admit he’s not doing right by people. He’s HOLDING the money.

​@@frankleone7685it is a tough business you are right about that, but maybe you should have planned in advance for situations like this to avoid horrible customer service, not being able to refund customers. If you decide to go into the collectibles business you should be ready to deal with problems that come with being in the collectibles buisness, especially when you are charging so much money.

Sorry but I think your defense of him comes down to "it's the customers fault for not being patient". If he wanted to start a company he should have taken into account the possibility of something like this happening and not feeling sorry for himself and using " I'm just a small company cut me some slack" as an explanation for what's going on.

I can’t agree more. They don’t respond. They dont refund. I went on a rant about them back in 2019 about a Batman statue I got and the gargoyle ear broke off. I will never buy from them again. Not to mention that products are always months and months late. I get late statues is par for the course for this hobby but Tweeterhead takes it to an all time high

Tweeterhead has been in business for what, 10 + years? And only now are trying to improve customer service? I had a bad time earlier this year trying to cancel the superman bust. took over 2 months to get a response. And now the scum is trying to refuse to give out refunds? hell no. I've canceled my batman 1/6 from sideshow because I refuse to give tweeterhead money. Chad needs to get out of this hobby and sell the business to someone more competent than him.

I'll say it again. As someone who has worked in customer service for 20 years now, the excuse you guys give about it being a small company is irrelevant. Customer service comes first and foremost. If I hire a guy who does lawn care and has a one-man ship who responds as soon as possible, that man has my money the moment he answers fast and politely. We cant keep making excuses and TH has been on a course of them for 5 years.

Collectibles vs one time service companies are a different business model. Delays are very common in the collectible world and major events like port strikes or Covid can quickly wipe you out. The lawn care guy can weather that since it’s just him, but collectibles it’s the factories, artists, etc.

The answer is probably Tweeterhead doesn't have the liquidity to issue refunds. Small business that has to lay out funds to factories to produce product while at the same time having cancellations where they need to refund money back to customers. The new policy of no refunds kind of proves they don't have the bankroll to absorb cancelations and sitting on stock. Companies like ThreeA have been doing this for some time with their sixth scale figures. They solicit a new item and don't show another one for a year until they start getting paid for the first figure and can then use those funds to produce the next figure. Chad could be the nicest guy in the world, but business is cut throat. He sounds like he's gotten in way over his head and is doing his best. However he may have dug himself a hole he might not be able to dig out of. Plenty of nice and smart people have failed at running a business.

The Superman bust will be my first TH statue. I paid for it in full Nov 2023 and am still looking forward to it, but TH feels a bit like that friend who is always an hour late but kept saying they’re “ just 10 min away” every time you call for an update.

Just one thing for those who don't know when things will arrive or if something should happen that could delay it. On the twitterhead website you can see when the statues are Schedule and it will be updated if something unexpected happens, also the Delivery Date I'm waiting myself for Superman, Doomday, Batman, Mr. Freeze but can see the new date on the website

All chad has to do is say up front that delivery will be 2 plus years with no refunds. All customer service issues go away, and when the 2 years come up, just issue a newsletter to push it out for another 6 months. There are no delivery terms when you buy, so don't expect any. Buyers beware...

I've always had positive experiences with Chad. When I accidently broke the exclusive switch out on my first TW piece (John Stewart), Chad was kind enough to help me out by replacing the whole statue. With that said, it's very clear that he's an artist first, business man second, as these issues have been on-going for some time. If he can't get this under control, he'll be gone within the next couple of years. I hope the best for him. Happy New Year, everyone!

It’s stunning how tone deaf you guys are when it comes to TH. You bend over backwards to make excuses for Chad when you would never go to those lengths for another company. You e had dinner with Chad. Fine. The average collector will never sit down and have dinner or a beer with him so you using that anecdote to defend his character is pointless. If you didn’t have that experience you would never give him such leeway. If it were another company you wouldn’t blame customers and say they need to be patient or give the benefit of the doubt or be sure about your order so you don’t cancel. The fact that you don’t recognize this or, worse, do recognize it but won’t admit it, is why people are losing trust in you. You may not be a news channel, but you’re certainly not being honest about your bias, even if you think you are.

Make the edition size 450. Have 50 extra statues with individual pieces in storage ready to go if someone has a complaint. Then it would literally be like this, Customer: Dear Tweeterhead the portrait on my Batman came broken, can you please send me an extra? Here is a picture as proof and my order number. Tweeterhead response: Dear John Doe, I’m so sorry that happened to you, give us 72 hours to process this replacement and we will have it shipped in the next 3-5 business days. It’s that fu**ing easy. Their problem is they are lazy, unorganized, and they don’t plan for breakage. It’s not rocket science. Then once the 450 is is sold after a few months if there are no more complaints sell the rest of the 50 that you didn’t have to send replacements to.

Good clip guys. Got all my Tweeterheads from Sideshow. I had a communication issue with Spec Fiction’s customer service. My PCS Maximum Carnage Bust delayed a third time til this Feb. Idk if it’ll arrive before my birthday or month(s) later 🤷🏻‍♂️

I don't get it. They admit multiple times hes not doing right, so i dont see why people cant see tht. 2 thungs can be tru at the same time. Chris can be really good friends with him and still criticize for whts going on. Even on im the facebook group. Ive seen people say he need to communicate more and now tht he is and telling people whts whts, people now are tired of his communication and want him to just give them there stuff and fix things asap. It can be both ways😂😂😂 Im not saying people cant be mad, but if u really think everything will be fixed asap and your getting your statue tomorrow or your email, read immediately. Yall must be super lost. Yall may not like it but some time will be needed to fix the problem. Yes its been a long problem, but tht doesnt mean it just gonna get fix asap

I wish all collectible companies the best, and if Chad at tweeter head needs a cheap customer service rep to help him, I am willing to work part time and help fix the issue. Is there a way to send him my resume

Hi Chris, thank you very much for this episode. I believe in Tweeterhead mastering the current situation. I preordered Skeletor on Panthor two days ago and don’t mind the new non refund policy a bit or maybe delays. Running a business internationally involving transcontinental logistics must be a nightmare in defense of Tweeterhead. Keep up the great work all of you for us collectors.
