The two best VPCs are Marines + Heavy Weapons or Supplies + Fuel. Yet if you want to do invasions then Marines + Heavy Weapons is the best VPC.

With the way you are playing I recommend turning on the setting of "reverse behavior" thingy for better type of controls, especially on front facing ships, or if you don't want to you can HOLD SHIFT for a "hovering" movements( while "hovering" the ship will always face your cursor and instead of turning the ship will strafe with A and D) Also, I see you have a serious condition of nukes addiction XD Love the EP! Looking forward to -who will you be nuking- Ahem, I mean next EP. :D

Speaking of nukes, just came up with a funny design. Forego pretty much everything on a Neuxoria, strap a semibreve and fill all the hangars with the minibreve bombers Then name it the "Nukesmoreofya"

So, tip for manual control, if you have space between yourself and the enemy with no fire incoming, lower your shields so that some hard flux can slow vent away

I think I'm going to start up a new play through of starsector. I haven't actually tried the UAF mod yet. I want to be able to make loadout suggestions with confidence.

2 piloting tips. 1. Use your missiles more. You sit on reapers like you forget you have them. They are good, tanky missiles that enemies will raise shields against. Which means, even if they get shot down, you have a good chance to overload the enemy. And quickly removing enemy firepower from the board is very helpful in harder fights. 2. You can lock onto enemies ("R" by default) which will cause all auto-fire weapons to target the same enemy. When trying to focus fire to quickly eliminate a ship, this is handy. Maybe you knew, but I haven't noticed you using it.

Just a tip to make more money. You can go to the pirate's in the New Auroria system, go dark when aproching them, and you can sell all that stuff on the black market. Tax free.

Should keep the forge templates for when you come across a forge. Then just sell off the ship after you've made one.

Not gonna build in anything on the inverse? expended ammo racks maybe ? because you can't have too many mini-brieves XD and then maybe down the line lvl yourself up to missile specialization...?

I can see you’re getting better, but you have a long way to go my friend. You still isolate yourself too much. Move in - strike - back off. You chase around small ships that are faster than you instead of using your firepower where it’s useful. It isolates you and wastes the already low deployment time you have with safety overrides. Being really aggressive is fine against crap pirate fleets but against proper enemies you will find yourself in trouble quickly. You should check the combat map more often to keep closer tabs on the situation as well. Anyway that’s my advice for now. Good luck!😊

I was wondering.. you limit yourself with the ships you can use in this series, but all other ships you usually salvage, like from other factions or from pirates, can't you just get them anyway and then sell them first chance without using them for a profit?

Yeah the UAF seems to really like selling those Reisen for a discount. I have two just sitting around due to it. The ship that suffered the most during this update in my opinion is the Minoria Escort Carrier. Previously the Minoria SP was a really nice small carrier, but now its really not very functional. Mostly because its SP variant lost the second fighter bay and got a medium gun slapped onto it. In general the UAF update made them move a bit away from being a fighter faction since the Exoria M now only has two fighter bays. So at least until you are fielding a whole Zeppy and Nexy fleet you are going to have less fighters.

I still like the normal Minoria tho with Ace carrier make it really low cost to deploy and be a very useful when chasing down a merchant fleet

little bit better pilot.. would maybe say more if you was not going on about it while letting a little ship rip you apart while you said it.. (need to pay more attention to whats going on.. and not be STUPID focus on shooting one ship.. lol ) If that little one had a reaper.. you would be dead.. also screaming at a ship to do something.. as the commands echo back on your coms.. AS ITS YOU!! lol.. love it.

Nope, think he targeted the front section of the ship, some ships have multiple sections, some even have separate shields allowing you to drop your shields and allowing the tip section to protect you from front facing damage for a bit
