Great tutorial Juan. I agree 100 % on the natural materials. That's basically how I tie all my generic nymphs, wingcase, feather legs, thorax. Then legs followed by wingcase tied down over thorax. Peacock herl and sword are magic. Love how you carried the abdomen to the bead to build up the thorax. Thank you!

There is nothing like working and tying with natural materials.

Found your channel and love it. What dry fly patterns do you tie or do you plan on tying some soon?

I am glad you found it. Now share it!! I’ve been doing some caddis dry fly stuff recently and I’ll have at least one or two more before I have to close for the season 😊

Nice fly! Would you use this as a lake fly? Not sure how much you lake fish. I’m getting setup for front range stillwaters. Thanks Lord of Hoppers!

This isn’t really a great lake fly as it imitates a stonefly and there really aren’t many stones found in lakes. But….you could fish it and they could eat it. So it doesn’t mean they won’t touch it. But it’s a better river fly pattern for places that have a large population of stoneflies.

I bet if you didn't use the biots it could be a killer dragonfly nymph
