1. Watch Tyler when he sings. He looks up when is singing about/to God. 2. There is no rehab for this. Once you are in, you are in. 3. Welcome friend. We love your reacts!

Yep, I think the reason this song still hits so strongly for people that don’t share Tyler’s faith is because it’s sooo so personal. He really shows what’s in his heart, and those struggles and internal cries of desperation are shared by almost everyone.

I've said this for years Tyler and Josh are the BIGGEST trojan horses for Christ, man. They ARE. Idk care what anyone says. Tyler is just a genius and knows how to be cryptic, but there's so much worship in so much of thier music if you know what to listen to.

I’m so freaking stoked that this is the version that you picked as it is my absolute favorite one!!! I must also say that it’s nice to see that I’m not alone in the way Tyler’s passion and emotion that’s shown here makes me feel and is why it’s my favorite version/performance of this song ffs! It’s just so clear here! Yet unlike most people who while they may sorta mention the emotion they sense…what most people seem to talk about when they are watching/listening is about how “different or odd” Tyler’s voice &/or pronunciations are here. I mean yea…this is very old and it’s noticeable I know but for me none of that stuff is important enough to take away from or distract from the pure and raw emotion that’s on display here and if you pay attention even Josh’s demeanor is slightly more toned down/sad ish to be more on par with the vibe Tyler’s giving here! So yea…this reaction was awesome man!😅😉👍

I absolutely love this emotion-packed video and song. The entire song's reference too water...you can tell this man loves Jesus...notice what I said there: Jesus, not religion. “Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

It's interesting to see how songs affect people differently. This song is so desperate and painful, yet it brings me comfort because it leaves me with the feeling that I'm not alone (even though I'm an atheist). However, play their song "Leave the City" and I'll be a sobbing mess within 5 seconds, even though the end message is actually hopeful and positive. Now, you just need to get away from the "sad" songs for a sec... I have to suggest "The Hype" followed by "The Hype Location Sessions Berlin" to watch Tyler completely rework and transform a song into something completely different, by himself, in just one day. The treatment for TOP addiction is simple... more TOP 😁🖤.
@thefablesphere4 жыл бұрын
I also drew comfort from this song actually.. it spoke to my soul and I have heard it I think 10 x after this 😂😂😂
@greenieaka24114 жыл бұрын
Their first couple albums have a lot of religious themes as that was what Tyler was struggling with a lot back then (besides a very deep depression). I'm not a religious person anymore, so the older songs don't move me as much, but you can't deny the passion or conviction. If/when you watch the Entercom/Brooklyn live sessions, you will see just how much he has improved as a pianist/musician in what just 8 years or so when this was filmed. Fucking mind blowing.

The song is about God, the first album they did is pretty much about Tylers Faith and struggles that comes with his Faith. It really shows in this song and and some other ones. Also their first album wasn't with Josh, it was with Tyler and two other guys (Nick Thomas and Chris Salih). This album is amazing and so it this song. And it is really easy to get addicted to their music, I listen to them all the time xD
