Oh so glad to have another reaction from you! Yay! I really like your idea that this is all happening inside Tyler's mind. It works well with this quote, which explains a bit about SAI and Trash. Tyler has told us that Trash the dragon is related to unleashing his imagination. "This record is more colorful than other records, literally more colorful, but sonically as well. That colorist supposedly represent the unleashing of an imagination. I have this theory, that even if you are confined to one small room, if you were to focus on one singular detail of that room, that detail can then come to life. Actually I have this little dragon, like totem figurine that I have been staring at. My theory is that if I can get to a place where I'm looking at him and I'm creating something and all of a sudden he can grow and then actually fly around the room, and then where I am, I'm transported to a completely different place. What an interesting interpretation. So many interpretations make Josh the bad guy and Tyler can do no wrong. I think yours involves more psychological honesty in terms of Tyler’s responsibility. On the other hand, it’s pretty hard to trust this version of Josh!

It certainly is difficult to trust this version of Josh, but based on what we've seen in prior videos, it is just as difficult to trust that this is truly Josh, or anything close to an accurate depiction of him! Very interesting music video!

I’m going to try to explain all the things I know about the music video Josh is not really josh, josh was captured and the bishops left a clone. But josh is still trying to help Tyler, by leaving Ned at the front of the store, telling him to keep his creativity. Also, these 2 videos show how Tyler and josh is trapped and dema and how the nine bishops are showing in these videos that they are not happy and sad about it. At the end of each video, we see Tyler trapped in some way. In shy away, he doesn’t look happy, like he’s forced to do it, and in this, Tyler is trapped with trash the dragon and the dog. The lyrics also say he was born a choker. In the scaled and icy pictures, we see a choker, black paint around his neck. Not to represent blurryface, but just a line of black. Also, nobody is coming for me is dema taking a effect on Tyler’s emotions, making him feel like the banditos are not coming and saving both of them. This was really long, so hopefully it helped.

I think Trash (imagination) is very valuable, to both Tyler and Josh. It is kept behind glass. And when Josh takes it out of the showcase, Tyler grabs it runs away with it. What I don't get is Josh stoping him. Usually Josh is part of the inspiration and pushes Tyler on, now he is throwing a net on him and stopping him. Or maybe because Tyler can go too far. But in the end Josh puts Tyler in his collection of pressious items, along side Trash and Jim (Josh's dog IRL).

You're my favorite twenty one pilots reactor. I was waiting for this. I feel like this song was mostly for the fans. very self titled/rab. imagine being in an arena and tyler steps away from the microphone and we are all singing that chorus. it's beautiful.

Glad you enjoyed the analysis! We definitely will have more to work with once the album is out, though I don't know if anyone can ever have the full picture per se, as meaning can really shift with time in many respects. I'm still picking up on new things off of the older albums after having listened to them so many times haha. Either way, I can't wait to explore Scaled and Icy!

I like how you put everything together. There are a lot of theories that Dema is forcing them to make propaganda videos, ote that they are clones. But neither works for me. I like your theory that this is happening inside Tyler's mind and that he is perceiving himself to be alone, and perceiving Josh to be against him. Thank you so much for watching, glad to hear you enjoyed the video 😀 There are a lot of different ways to look at this music video, especially with the different elements regarding DEMA and Trench, but I think if we remove those concepts altogether, we can observe Tyler's mind distorting reality in this video. I believe that's what spoke to me the most in watching the mv and in hearing the song for the first time, hence my focus on that aspect of the story. The Dema stuff certainly adds context to that in the form of metaphors, which is awesome to explore and decipher as well.

I wonder if we will come to find out that Tyler was attempting to rescue Trash, as opposed to stealing him... Also, check the small print at the bottom of the "promotional" poster for the new album linked here: www.reddit.com/r/twentyonepilots/comments/mkscnp/twenty_one_pilots_livestream_experience_scaled/ It implies that this album is propaganda - the content of which is dictated by Dema and the bishops - not that of Tyler and Josh. And, for your consideration, that's probably not Josh... Trivia (that was Josh's real-life dog, Jim), and, Tyler had that figurine in his studio prior to ever writing Scaled and Icy. He essentially stated in an interview with BBC Radio 1 prior to the Shy Away release that the figurine in a way inspired the album - prompting him to ask the question "what if that dragon came to life?" Just something to ponder... Another very cool reaction and analysis!

The video definitely seems like it relates to trying to escape Dema The main questions are surrounding Josh and Trash - based on Josh shrinking his dog and Tyler, Trash would have been life size before Tyler got there - the blue light that is shrinking everything in this video looks similar to the blue light in Shy Away when everything gets destroyed at the end, so what's the connection there? What is going on with Josh? I've heard a few theories - I think yours makes sense about Tyler not even trusting the people around him at this point - I also think it could be that Josh is so much under the control of Dema that he's given up and is now helping the bishops while Tyler is still trying to escape - I've heard the "clone" theory but that seems a little odd to me Top tweeted out that there's a bunch of mysteries in the music video so hopefully we get answers soon!

Great videos! I'm curious. Now that shy away and choker has passed, I'm curious if #1 are you now currently following the theories of sai? #2 are you going to see the may 21 event? Thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed them! 1. I would say I am loosely following the SAI theories. Basically, I see some of what’s said on Twitter through the people that I follow, and I see what is said in the comment sections of my videos. On my end, I’m mostly just listening to the past albums in anticipation of the new one. 2. I really want to go see the may 21st event, but I want to film my album reaction prior to seeing the performance, as I want the reaction to consist of my first listens to the songs (with the exception of the singles that were released before the album of course). I don’t think I will be able to finish filming my album reaction between the end of my work day and the start time of the event, but I will do my best! Otherwise, I will likely watch a replay if possible.

Although i question if top would want it replayed cause then some people won't buy the ticket ($20) waiting to see it later. What i heard about the performance is they'll have the new songs AND old songs that are appropriate for the Dema storyline. And they have bunch of other stuff going on too. It's all so exciting!
