tyler's buns are a call to his one year old daughter, rosie. the buns are for her, kinda showing that she has a part in the video. i think it's adorable :)

The twenty one pilots twitter account said that the dragon burned their masks. So maybe the dragon symbolises and escape from DEMA? As it also destroyed the sculptures in the shy away video.

I love how confident and self-possessed Tyler has evolved to be. He’s now able to tell the listener how to avoid the fall into the same doubt that he went through as a new artist. And now, he and Josh are just having fun, and it’s a joy to watch. He’s even having fun with his hair, it’s almost like he said I know everyone’s going to obsess over my hair and I don’t even care, I like it and I’m having fun! Love this confident positivity. I know there will be other things on the record that tie back into the Dema story more, but this is such a hot first single!

He said in an interview yesterday that his brother wants to get into music more and wanted Tyler to show him how to do a song from beginning to end - so Tyler just sat down with him and made this track and showed him how to do it - crazy (but as you noted this song is meant to tell anyone not to shy away when they're trying to reach a goal and will probably take on a double meaning as the album develops) The logo is the Greek letter for Psi which means something like the psyche of your mind - it also could be spelled Sai, which is a weapon that looks the exact same way (what Raphael used), also SAI = Scaled and Icy Also I think the hair thing is something he did for his daughter because she always has her hair like that - although part of me thinks his hair is this long for the album and it will end up being cut in a song like he did in Car Radio and Levitate The real question is what the hell is going on in the background of the video? Who is he talking to on the phone? What exactly does the dragon represent? Why does everything crumble to the ground at the end? Why are all these parts floating around in the background? Is this a different part of Dema? I think we will get these answers soon and everything will make more sense and all tie together i agree with you i think this album is going to have more of a positive vibe to it Heads up it sounds like they're dropping clues for a second single coming out Friday- never know with them though

They're definitely being forced to make this album by Dema. The christmas song had "SAI is propoganda" in the background of the cover and there's no |-/ symbol anywhere. Also the amount of neon which the bishops of Dema literally worship

yess! can't express how hyped I am for this new album lmfao I've been following the reddit for TØP's lore, and some that I can catch is that the website for Dema (dmaorg) which contain Clancy's (Tyler) notes has been terminated and saying that 'Clancy is dead', which is an anagram for the new album title 'Scaled and Icy'. And also the new logo is a Greek letter for Psi, which is pronounced 'SAI' (initial for the new album). Also the blue colour theme, I'm pretty sure the band or Tyler once posted on twitter saying something along the lines of "never wear blue, it's the sign of surrender." So yeah, pretty sure there's a lot of story behind this music video that we still don't know about.

The lyrics hit different when i heard it 2nd time then a 3rd time. I kept seeing correlation to Dema and the bishops all tying together with elements of the video. For example the lyrics " When you get home You barely recognize the pictures they put in a frame 'Cause you shed your modesty Don't circle the track Take what you have And leave your skin on the floor" Who is "they" 👀 Just the led lights alone made me think its more than just "hey bro, go get your dream" 😂 i feel like that is just the surface layer and there are more layers underneath.

Wooohooo! Was waiting for your reaction 😁 This song is such a banger!! Hopefully I'm not being too redundant, but here's a little rundown on what we know so far, as far as the story is concerned. We know that "Scaled and Icy" is an anagram for "Clancy is Dead." The promo image for "Christmas Saves the Year" had a hidden message of "SAI is propaganda." The promotional material for Scaled and Icy also has hints and messages that tell us the album is a product of Dema, not Tyler and Josh. We aren't quite sure what that means exactly. You can see at the beginning of the video that Tyler seems to be acknowledging someone over to his right and looks kind of nervous and uncertain. That's because Tyler and Josh are in Dema. The main thought right now is that Tyler with long hair means he's under control of the bishops, and the "man buns" mean he is not. Something else to notice, Tyler has his neck covered completely or wears a choker. That will likely be our indicator of blurryface from now on. There's a lot of theorizing going on in the discord server about Josh with the yellow drumsticks and the yellow on the drum head. Some people think Josh isn't visible to the bishops, because of the yellow, or he isn't even in dema at all bc maybe he's just been in Tyler's head this entire time. Aaaannd, the jury is still out on the dragon. We aren't sure if he's good or bad. Tyler did mention on Twitter today that his name is "Trash" 🤣

He’s written this for his brother and has said there’s nothing cryptic to decipher. With every album, they shed their skin. We diehard fans now have to shed our skin and change our wardrobe to the new colors 🤦🏻‍♀️

Tyler's moves were also something I noticed quickly. His movements are swift and confident, more dance and less twitching (obviously and clearly) and I may be reading too deep into this, but it's possible that's a sign of them being under Demas control. Tyler's twitching was always him reallly becoming one with the song and really being on the same wavelength as his words and music, so maybe it's possible that Dema has made them more "polished" and typical to appeal to the audience, also the whole 80's themes, which were trending recently, with The Weeknd and Dua Lipa both having 80's themed albums and both topping charts.

I love how they change, how they grow as artists and as humans.... I also sense more positivity (and I think in some way they feel maybe that it is what people need right now and they share all the good things that are happening in their lifes..) but in TOP style, not a naive postivity but realistic and honest. BUT at the same time there is going to be a completely different dimension about the Dema -Clancy- Blurryface etc storyline... another layer, as you always says,.. (And the text at the very bottom) It all looks like everything is fine and dandy, but this entire album is actual one big propaganda piece by DEMA. They are capture and now used to draw more people in with this upbeat poppy tune. There are a bunch of hints supporting this too

At the end of the video, he's messing with the camera the way he started the Level of Concern video. Any theories behind that? His dance moves remind me of the Library dance scene in the Breakfast Club movie. The girl with the dandruff- her dance moves especially. Otherwise, the rest are all very 1980's. I'm loving it! And I kind of love the space buns, especially because he wore them with his daughter as his hair was growing out. It's cute.

I see people have mentioned that the song was written almost as a tutorial for his brother Jay who asked to kinda shadow Tyler while he was recording. But did you know that Jay Joseph did actually recently release his first EP with 4 songs and they are actually pretty good.
