I agree with everything you said. His piano work is subtle and just serves the songs so well. Josh is equally good at doing that with the drums. I think Tyler knocked this out of the park. The lyrics, the vocals, the overall vibe. Gah. It’s just so hauntingly beautiful.

I choose to believe that Trees is Tyler truly seeking out God. He has found him and this song closes that loop. So much spiritualism in this song. Most religious art has the light shining on someone. I am by no means overly religious but I can’t help but make that connection EVERY time I hear this. Stunningly beautiful song.
