I think it’s time for “leave the city”. Gets me in the feels! Tyler cries majority of the time he plays it live. Especially when the crowd is singing it back to him.

10:32. THAT EXHALE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love this song and that exhale basically takes the whole song from him singing about another person, to him singing about himself!!!!!!!!! Tyler Joseph is mind blowing.

I think that ( once again 😏) you’re perfectly right when you say “ dramatic dramatic dramatic ...” cause Tyler said many times that write music was a catharsis for him and ... if you google .. catharsis is a Greek word meaning “ cleansing” . It’s the purging of emotions in antic tragedies 🎭🥒

You really have to do Friend, Please next. As I've said it's very similar in it's subject matter, but with a more hopeful feel. It works so well as an "antidote" to Trapdoor.

Me sitting here thinking it’s amazing how let alone his lyrics, he manages to put so much tangible emotion into the instrumental side also - then bam you say exactly that. I literally have a scene in my mind for this if it was made into a stage show. This song tells such a story

I think your statement on how brilliant he writes reveals to me the one (and only one) bad thing about Twenty One Pilots: they show us what music could be, but isn't. Meaning simply that *they* write with so much meaning and purpose that it makes what is lacking in [most] other music stand out like a sore thumb.

Today is my day for Trapdoor. Finish this waste of a life ... cause nobody knows he’s alive ... and obviously no one cares. No one will understand, no one knows the person I am on the inside, the real me. Tyler, where would I be without you?? Thank you, Fil 🌼
@katstorm134 жыл бұрын
As much as I like this song it's hard to listen to today. I know it's not what the song is about, but the chorus fits along with an incident in my state where police unnecessarily killed a man with excessive force (knelt on his neck until he was unconscious then still stayed on him another 4 minutes,all while 2 other officers were holding down his back and legs) and not a lot other people could do but record on their phones I'm sure out of fear of arrest or harm done to themselves if they tried to physically intervene. "Everyone gather around for a show Watch as this man disappears as we know Do me a favor and try to ignore When you watch him fall through a bleeding trapdoor"
