Sorry if you guys already caught all this; You may remember that in the past Twice made a bunch of copies of himself who turned on him and eventually all killed each other. Since then, he's been afraid that he is one of the copies; he didn't know if he was real. Because of that trauma he refused to copy himself and avoided ever taking too much damage so he wouldn't disappear. When the MLA broke his arms but he didn't disappear, he knew he was real, and he overcame his trauma and became willing to copy himself again.

Twice didn't get an upgrade, he was always physically capable of pulling this off and we had been aware of that for quite some time. However his trauma and being unclear if he was a clone or not prevented him from doing so. His limit is creating two clones. However when he creates another person they will have the same personality and quirk as the original. When he creates two of himself those two clones can then create four more clones, which can then go on to create eight more clones, and so on and so forth. There isn't any limit to the number of clones he can create using that exploit.

At the times when Quirks started appearing, the ones with Quirks were seen as monsters by normal people. Destro's mother begged to the normal people that the power is her child's "Quirk" (We know that Quirk means something like personality or conscience) and that he's normal too. She wanted a place where normal people and quirk users stay together. But they didn't listen to her and killed her. Long after her death, the government did what destro's mom wanted that is normal people and quirk users living together on the note that Quirk users are not permitted to use quirks in public. Only pro heroes can freely use quirks. (Hence Gran torino got his license cuz ge wanted to use his quirk freely. And Gentle criminal was punished for using his quirk without permission.) That's why Destro's mom was called "Mother of the term Quirk". As previously it was called Meta ability or Meta power. 'Quirk' gives a detail explanation on how the user is thinking and behaving because the quirk affects their personality or vice versa. And as we've known Metaliberation army wants government to take off the restrictions on quirk use. They want everyone to be able to use quirks freely because it's their right.

Twice can make infinite number of himself, he can only do 2 clones, but each clone can also do 2 clones when they break his arm, it was liberation for him, because of his past where he and his clones start to kill each other, he wasn't sure if he was the original and always was carefull to not get hurt because he was afraid to disapear, but this pain was the confirmation that he is the original

This is the thing that anime-only miss about Re-Destro(Rikiya Yotsubashi). He's the CEO of Detnerat Company that develops and creates items that could adjust to your own quirk. This introduction were cut off in the anime. Every higher-ups of Meta Liberation Army have a position in important company/party. Curious is the executive director of Shoowaysha Publishing, Skeptic is a board member in Feel Good Inc.(a corporation that owns a goddamn satelite), and Trumpet(the Aizawa-looking guy) is the leader of Hearts and Mind Party. Re-Destro's suit being able to resize because of that creation from Detnerat, as the same as Curious' Gauntlet and the Carbonation quirk guy that Bakugo and Todoroki fought few episodes ago.

I always thought Twice's Quirk would be OP since 1-A's training camp. It says Double not just a clone. Unlike Ectoplasm's quirk. His clones have limits. Or Naruto(different anime)who needs a lot of chakra to summon a lot of clones. But Twice's Double is different, He can make literally double of him who can make another double of that double. Now imagine Twice making doubles of himself while his other doubles making doubles of Toga(awakened Quirk), Dabi and Shigaraki.

Also Re destro (Rikiya Yotsubashi) isn't the son of Destro (Chikara Yotsubashi). Anime did a poor job on explaining it but when they mentioned that "Destro didn't realize but he had a son..." it meant that Destro's son kept their bloodline going and Re destro is born. So Re destro is Destro's descendant and not his son.

um no. Twice isn't going plus ultra here or anything. This was always his power. He just didn't use it this way cuz of his psychological trauma. The puppets breaking his arms made him realize he's the original and was able to finally use his power again.
