Some research I did shows that the BNSF cab cars did exist as sold by Rapido in this run; with the swoosh logo and unpatched cab windows while still having end striping, but indeed they were not used as cab cars, with the 8500’s taking up that role. Then by early 2010s the cab windows began to be patched out.

Just unboxed my two unnumbered BN cars and three bolster screws were loose - and one was loose in the box! Thought I dropped on the floor but found it on the wand magnet! Now to unbox the other six for running at the club next weekend and check their bolster screws.

@@TWIGYBNSF I reported too soon. I finished unboxing the other cars and found a coach with the one end buffer not attached and the collision post only glued by one top pin. Removed it, separated the buffer, glued on the collision post and let it dry overnight. Snapped the buffer back on. One more car did have loose bolster screws.

I appreciate you showing the interior without the shell. Rapido normally does that but they didn't for this series of cars. The level of interior detail seems to be up to their usual standards so I don't understand that.

I have 3 of the E9s. 9902, 9915 and 9924. Which version of these cars would be correct for the early 90s?

Either of the bn 3 packs. But you would have to get the Metra cab car decal sheet to change the stripes to red and white. Plus change the bn logo on the side placards to Metra and get the bn logo that goes on the sideof the doors. Fusion scale graphics makes the decals
