The same “bones” of the building with a lot of reconfiguration. Also, I think your theory about the connection between The Twilight Zone and Beverly Hillbillies is a big stretch.

Yes! This is exactly right! Same structure and they redress it. This is done in Hollywood all the time to disguise a building or even a car. Plus stretching is good for your health! 😂

@@ricknineg - Not buying it. The base of the TZ building is noticeably bigger, something that wouldn't likely change in a re-dress. The angle of the roofs are different, something that wouldn't change even in a re-dress. Also, observe the size and count the tiles on the roof, this is where you can easily tell the significant size difference. Imagine taking the door on the BHB shack and moving it around to the side and you can quickly see that the side of the BHB shack is much smaller. The fireplace is different, and coming up at a different location relative to the position for each. Sorry, there are too many things wrong with your speculation and your support of your explanation is too minimal. The steepness of the roof angle was all I needed to see though, nobody is going to change trusses for a re-dress, at that point it is easier to start over.

My brother knew Max Bear, Jr. when he lived in Lake Tahoe. Max Bear told him he owns the rights to the title "The Beverly Hillbillies." He told my brother he wants to open a casino using that name, but that there are so many laws and legal hoops for him to jump through, he said, he's not certain now if it will ever happen. He told my brother, "I played an idiot on television for years, but I was only acting! These politicians, though, are real idiots!" lol

Thank you to everyone for enjoying the video and supporting my channel by watching it! Some are commenting how the cabin is not the same. It is. I want to further clarify how in Hollywood it is very easy to remove pieces of a structure. You can easily swap out a chimney or make a wall planks versus logs. They usually use materials that look similar to wood or stone but are not wood or stone. Foam and lightweight material are used instead. In I Love Lucy, it was very common to use the same façade and remove and add windows and even at a wall section where there was a door before. This is a similar concept that they expanded upon in the 1960s. This is why you will see that the structure is overall the same but there is a missing chimney and then the porch is a little bit different. Other than that, the structure is the same.

I had a long interview with Eddie Albert back in the early 1980s and one of the stories he told was about an episode of the Outer Limits where his character planned to give up city life and take his wife to live on a farm in the country. In typical OL form his plan went sideways even faster than it did in Hooterville, but an interesting coincidence had the hapless city couple meeting a stereotypical hayseed farmer played by Mr Hunnicutt. So you perhaps could draw crisscrossing lines between the CBS shows and the Outer Limits (which I believe aired on ABC stations). Actually the part of the story that Mr Albert enjoyed the most was following a huge attack by frogs on the soundstage. Enough frogs escaped to render the soundstage useless for several months because of the annoying chirping and croaking.
