I love you guys. When you were attempting to play the violin, I was laughing my ass off. This is a beautiful song and it is very true. Life goes by so fast. One hundred years would fly by and not be enough. I am a 68 year old woman, and I wasted a lot of time. Don’t know where it went. Live your dreams. Don’t settle for less. ❤️🌹❤️

I get amused when they try to "pretend" to play instruments....Love them but they have never been taught any instruments at all....seriously! I play better air drums on my stirring wheel and I at least, took lessons on guitar.......but, they are way young than us.....I am 10 years younger than you, we had to take music classes! Oh well, I don't listen to rap....but, I don't think they have full on bands like we did back in the old days?!

Patricia Barkley I’m just a few years younger and yet I can still remember being young and feeling like all of eternity was before me-scary and exciting in equal measures. Now, it’s a question of what body-part will need to be removed next, how much sleep I’ll get tonight, will I outlive any of my younger siblings, blah blah blah...

He’s on violin, next biggest, look like the violin, is a viola. Slightly lower tones. Next is cello, again, looks like a violin, but the player sits with the instrument that stands between the player’s legs. Deeper, richer tones. Deepest, richest is the bass, taller than many players, who all stand to play it. Enjoy! We sure enjoy YOU!

My favorite from Kansas, released in 1977. I was 10 years old when this came out...will be 53 on Sunday. Thank you for reacting to this beautiful song. :-) And yes, that was a violin. Your brother was probably thinking of the larger cello, which is a string instrument within the violin family. So again you were correct in saying there are many different types of violins. :-) The words are so poignant & fitting for these troubled times. "All your money won't another minute buy." Health is the true wealth in 2020 (& beyond)... Be well & stay safe, everyone!

This is definitely Kansas' mellower side. For their more upbeat side, check out "Point of Know Return" and "Carry On Wayward Son"

So much meaningful music came out in the 70s. Part because of the Vietnam War. Growing up in the 70s was an exciting time, part because of the music created then. It will never die.

Kansas was one of my faves in the 70’s! I am still listening to their album Left Overtures ❤️🎸🥁. We had such amazing music - thankful for it because it carried me through my youth

I love the fact that you are discovering one of the good bands of the 70's. 1 of my favorite bands. Violin solos were well done! I can watch you guys all day long; you're joyous to me.

Once again, back when musicians wrote originalsongs, played their own instruments and didn't have autotune.

I love it when young people find songs from our era. Songs that are still played today, 50 and 60 and 70 years old. Love the look on their faces.

First time suggestion. I love y’all! There used to be a time when we had glam rock. You would get a kick out it. I strongly suggest Ballroom Blitz by Sweet. It will be something you’ve never seen. Please!! It’s a super, banger song

I bet the members of this group can eat off this for the rest of their lives. A big big song in 1978 and I didn’t understand it until the 1990’s. This is talent

Love the message of this song, that all things are fleeting ... and I also love the fiddler getting at it. Loved this song forever .... And it's great to see our youth finding the music of my youth and loving it as you do.

I knew these guys before they were Kansas......a struggling band called White Clover. They played at a converted Opera House in Ellinwood Kansas. Hubby and I helped out the owners back then. The fist night they played there they blew the walls out. Everybody went nuts. We paid them around 1 am and they wanted to know where they could buy breakfast.....we laughed cuz no place was open for 100 miles. So I had them come over to our house, alerted our gang to bring food and they chowed down!! Well of course they were playing everywhere after that. An agent from NY wanted to come out and listen to them. We packed the Hughes place (it's an opera house with a balcony) ......and the rest, as they say, is history. Kerry Livgren wrote all the music. Robbie Stenhardt played the electric violin. He dies a few months ago. The band still plays concerts, with some new members, but they keep it true. Dust in the Wind may be one of their more recognizable songs, but there are so many that are better. Find them. On video. Enjoy. Think. Reflect. ❤
