I like this design, like that You speak good, normal, You talking clearly and You doing not long breaks, you immediately have the point, super! It be good for people with hearing difficulties (and for foreign people like I am too) that all messurements are written in the specs. Thank You! BTW: Some other people on KZbin talk like they have "filled" their paints. When man listen to them, man get indigestion :)

Could you possibly do a build a video on this aircraft? I absolutely love the design and how it flew!

I think the whole trick is that you are keeping the flow of air over the control surfaces even at very low speeds. Cool.

Nice video. You mentioned that the propeller will stall at higher throttle because the blades are too big. Could you explain what causes a propeller stall and why shorter propellers would correct it? Thanks.
@airborne91177 жыл бұрын
If I'm not mistaken, it is not the propellers that stalled in this case, but the motors. The burst load was too much for them and they chunk with that horrible sound instead of spinning properly. 14 inch props proved a bit too much for those motors when slamming the throttle up. Looks like they were alright with those motors if the throttle was raised more slowly. I wonder how hot those motors and ESC ran with the 14 inch props. Would be nice to see another video with the 12 inch props, for comparison. Software such as Motocalc, and other similar web-based calculators, help one to match a prop to a motor for maximum performance with an airframe and battery and ESC and designed flight envelope combination. Propellers can stall too, but that is different. That is where they are not producing thrust efficiently because they are not being fed enough air, sort of. Get them moving quickly through an airmass and then they *bite* efficiently according to their designed performance. When stalled, they still blow wind, but have not yet achieved the aerodynamic thrust for which they were designed. Stalled props might not have enough thrust to get a plane off the ground, or fly, unless one launches it with a good throw for sufficient airspeed for the props to do what they do best *at operating airspeed* through the airmass. Once at sufficient airspeed, they work as expected. Before getting to that airspeed, they appear to perform sluggishly, then suddenly *bite* when the aircraft gets up to airspeed for them. Props that can help an aircraft reach its top speed may be less than ideal for accelerating from very little or no speed, because they *stall* . The back of the blade may be slapping the air back, but the front of the blade is not ideally *lifting* or *sucking* the prop forward. But once the aircraft is moving forward at the prop's good operating airspeed, then the aircraft bursts forward since the front of the blade is now also working to produce forward lift (thrust).
