Your are right. Nobody cares anymore. At the most people only care about proof of life for line of succession purposes. I think the kids will have major resentment towards their parents as they grow up for keeping them away from their family. I don't imagine anybody will be interested in them either when they are grown up and head out in their own lives. What are they going to do? Work for a living? I don't know about anybody else but my Sister and I learned a very strong work ethic from our parents and have everything we have because we have worked very hard to get it. Those kids are learning nothing about the bigger world and will end up just as lost as their parents and they have every reason to blame their parents and that is a major fail on their parents part.

TBH Netflix is renowned in the industry for making bad decisions. There are dozens of examples of really dumb moves they’ve made over the years as they went from the top streaming service to 4th place and lost over half their catalog. They were also the only streaming service to lose money during the streaming boom. They’re now turning into the Hallmark Channel of streaming by mass creating generic rom-coms for a steady income just to keep from losing money. We were cracking up the other day about one of their newest ones where a woman’s snowman comes to life. This same formula has been used in at least 2 previous TV rom coms and a couple of books. Netflix has sunk so low. This is partly why I’m not confident they’ll actually quit working with the Sussexes. That would be a smart decision and Netflix doesn’t do smart.

I don’t believe Netflix ever puts out the true figures. In my opinion, they are always inflated just as the sale of Harry’s book was grossly inflated in my opinion.

You’re correct they do play with the viewing numbers. Turns out for viewing figures they were counting even a 1 minute view. When Netflix puts a show in their top bar it will automatically start to play if you leaving it running or as soon as whatever you were playing ends. They don’t have a feature to turn off automatic play. So they’re actually inflating view numbers for press purposes if you pay to put yours in that top bar. In their end of year report for shareholders they have to use the actual figures which requires at least a 50% view or something. It could be 25% but it still drastically changed the numbers and took the mockumentry out of the top 20 shows for the year. An interesting side note is the shows Netflix didn’t have a production hand in, all the others out so far, didn’t have any in house publicity. Meaning no one paid to put an ad on Netflix and no one paid to put them on the top bar or new release billing and they all had low viewership.

Best sellers are based on how many books the publisher can 'move'. Harry's book was at hugely discounted prices and Amazon gave a copy free for every order. Small bookshops had to order a certain number of books to be able to stock it and were left with so many copies unsold months later. All of those books were counted as 'sold.' Harry made his money, BUT what about the Publisher who would have had to pay the bookshops for their returns?

One thing to remember is. Markle does not have the work ethics to have even a half successful show. She also lacks investment of time and has a very bad habit of being bored and losing interest. This will not have longevity. She is already on the backfoot with her unlikeable personality and all the traits for it to not work in a saturated genre.

When I quit Netflix I I told them exactly why I was quitting, that I didn’t want my hard earned money going to anything that Twit and Tw@t are associated with. I also left the input that I would join again when the Harkles are gone.

Why would Harry let her put the kids on display when he hasn’t let it happen so far? That wouldn’t make sense. He’s not going to start allowing it now, just so Meghan can use them for a cooking show. I think if the kids were always available for exploiting, Meghan would have done it by now because she has an untameable compulsiveness to do whatever she wants…unless she’s not the mother and is obligated to a contract that sets rules for her public interactions with Harry’s children? Just putting the idea out there.

Yes, I think you make a good point. There's clearly a reason why they have been so little seen to date, so if that changes then it indicates that something major has also changed behind the scenes. And we have seen M's compulsion to copy and compete with everything that William and Catherine do, which implies that if she had had a free hand, her kids would have been appearing in all their shows from the start, regardless of their 'privacy'.

They do need to show the cooking show. And when Meghan does not fix her branding issue Netflix has a get even. In the 2 malls empty storefront, empty shelves and displays, with dust a few dusty jars of jam and a few dog biscuits on a shelf. Brand name for Meghan's storefront a banner: "Meghan, Duchess of Sussex Brand". And when she shows and monetizes the kids the first showing needs to be the bomb because afterward we will all be done. The children reveal is a One and Done Event for H&M.

Someone else said it (cannot remember who) but they should followed how the horses are trained and how they are looked after. I think that would have been more interesting. I have no doubt that their horses are expensive and riders usually connect with the animals. That would have been more interesting. The cooking show. Maybe how to make a jam sandwich.

i would LOVE to know how much Netflix has actually paid them. A big star usually gets a million per episode and they've produced only 15 episodes of anything. Netflix signed a contract for 5 yrs, 20 million a year....IF they'd been as successful as the Obamas. They weren't.....and Netflix doesn't give out 20 million for nothing. I don't know if they'll show the real kids....they'll just rent a pair from Rent a KId.
