Elvis was the greatest entertainer of all time. That's why he is The King. He could sing it all: rock, pop, country, gospel..... amazing voice... amazing talent. And no one put on a better live show than Elvis. His greatest live show was Aloha from Hawaii..... I highly recommend that you watch the whole show. It was broadcast live all around the world... the first time that was ever done. I watched it live....... it was incredible !!!

Hearing this reminds me so much of my dad and the weekends I spent with as a little girl. He had all of Elvis' albums, and this was one of his favorite songs. He would sing along with them and I loved it. He was a tugboat captain and my parents were divorced so I didn't get to see him very much. He will be gone from this earth 3 years this September. I miss him so much.

You are right, in my opinion he was the most versatile singer ever to live. And go from Jailhouse Rock to, If I Can Dream to whatever type of song you want sing Soul, blues, rock and roll probably the best gospel singer ever. You name it. The Only singer in all four hall of fame's, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the rhythm and blues Hall of Fame, The Gospel Hall of Fame, and the country and western Hall of Fame. Thank you guys. Good stuff

there was something within the construct of Elvis’s voice , something not deliberate, most likely he was not even conscious of it, it’s a ghostly sound, that oozes emotion and feeling and penetrates to the core of the soul of the listeners that are tuned into that same frequency. Die hard Elvis fans ( of which there still are hundreds of millions) know exactly what I mean.

I think this was towards the last years of his life, the part where he got further and further into drugs, you can see the bloat starting and i can hear it in his voice, and in some parts, he could not hold the notes but covered it well. Drugs..ruined many, but this one was was so painful to watch him struggle and know this was happening to him with no intervention until he died.
