I find it opposite. I can braid my hair within 30 minutes or less because I do them chunkier. My hair doesn’t take chunky twists and I hate twisting so much.. braidouts are also more stretched

Team Braid out for sure ! My hair does not work with twist outs at all which sucks..but with braid outs I can't do mine how you do yours I have to braid mine Striaght back on the scalp (jail house braids lol) in order to get definition and no frizz, otherwise they never come out looking good at all if I braid it any other way 🤷🏿‍♀️

I can’t braid. I can’t flat twist. I can’t do anything! Glad to know I’m not alone! 😂 when I was transitioning, braidouts was my go-to style. Now that I’m fully natural, twist outs are easier for me. I’m more of a definition lover because my hair is short. Definitely going to give the braid out another try!

I love the twisting butter and protein dc... i didnt like their other products bc of the aloe vera... i cant wait til they come out w/ a gel... i use the twisting butter for soft wash n goes and after i blow dry (before a protective style) ill use the butter and my hair stays crazy moisturized...

Daye La Soul my fav creams for a wng are the shea moisture curl stretch pudding and the miche butter. I pair them both w/ wetline... I do cream wngs mainly in the winter. My technique is diff w/ butters so instead of putting my leave in on a section then applying a gel, i would apply the cream all over then apply the gel to give it time to penetrate. I also dont do cream wng’s on soaking wet hair, i do them on damp hair. I think caaliyah did a wash n go w/ the curl stretch pudding. Idky ppl are scared of using creams.

How does your hair feel? How often do you wash? How often do you use heat? That will determine how much protein you need!

I wash my hair every 7-10days, I don't use heat and I moisturize every 2-3 days.
